Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Disney.
Hi Tyler, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
When I moved down to Los Angeles back in the summer of 2016, I was about to begin audio engineering school for film and tv. I was living in studio city at the time with 2 roommates and completed the course in less than two years. I decided to take some time off and started helping friends with other projects such as short films and music videos. I started going to red-carpet events and other networking events as well until the Covid-19 pandemic hit. During the pandemic, I started doing movie reviews on my YouTube channel. I’m a huge movie buff but to me that didn’t seem like I wanted to keep going with that so I decided to go back to my roots and try photography again. I took a class back at a community collage back in Reno NV where I am from originally. In the spring of 2021, I started doing photography professionally and been collaborating with influencers and many people along the way, I could say how I got here today was just by hard work and by just enjoying what you do.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road at all and there were many challenges I had to face especially dealing with depression and general anxiety disorder but photography has given me peace and new outlook on life and creativity.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do Photography, I specialize in cosplay, portrait, and creative portrait, I’m most proud of all the work and collaborations I have gotten over the past 2 years. To be honest, I don’t know what sets me apart from others, I’m just happy on what I do and how I create.
What does success mean to you?
I define success by the different ways you look at the word success. To me my work and how many people I worked with is my success, I’m just happy to see people smile on what I did for them.
