Hello Tha J-Squad, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
We are a brother team of Music Producers known for creating Music for the dance style known as “Krump”. We started an Independent Record Label led by our mother/Executive Producer (Tha J-Squad Beat Mastaz Productionz) where we released 21 mixtapes titled “J-Squad Krump Mixes”. We also started the first Krump dancing event exclusively for Krump dancers called “Krump Arena”. This enabled us to provide a positive outlet to underprivileged youth & distribute our music to the world. That eventually led to numerous placements in the Entertainment Industry such as 6 seasons of Fox “So You Think You Can Dance”, Sony Pictures “Stomp The Yard”, “The Beyonce Experience Live Tour” & more. We currently have one of the largest remix channels on YouTube with over 200,000 subscribers & 70 million views.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We faced adversity at every turn. From problems at the Event, quarrels with group members, & people stealing music without crediting us. It taught us to stay focused on the goal & ignore the roadblocks. Persistence & faith helped us overcome those obstacles. Producing instrumental music is challenging as well. Trying to break into the industry without a performing artist isn’t easy but nothing worth accomplishing is.

We’re mainly known for creating “Krump Music” & flipping your favorite Movies & TV shows into Epic remixes. We specialize in instrumental music of many genres. We’re very proud of achieving over 200,000 subscribers on YouTube & 100,000 listeners on Spotify with tens of millions of streams, aside from our multiple credits in the film & television space.
Crafting a Genre of music, our versatility in style & creativity is what sets us apart from most music producers.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Never give up! There will be many failures. Plenty of sleepless nights. Worries & doubts. As long as you stay persistent, positive & laser-focused your dreams will become reality.
