Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Caceres
Hi Stephanie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Well it all started with an American dream. My grandparents both came to the states for opportunity. Coming from a family of small business owners, I was bound to become one myself. Born and raised, local native to Los Angeles, California, I am a first generation Mexican American and a second generation hair stylist. The hair industry came to me. Literally fell on my lap at the young age of 18 before starting my cosmetology school journey. My grandmother was a hairstylist and salon owner which ties into the name of my salon Hairitage. Before that came about, I had a few very influential mentors who sculpted me into shape. I’ve been able to explore the editorial side, platform education and mastered the technique and craft behind the chair. Now I’ve opened my own salon; Hairitage LA. And it all happened in divine time. After moving to three different salons over the course of 17 years, I had to opportunity to open up my own and here I am now. June 2024 wrapped up our first two years and so many more to come! Hairitage is a space where It’s about building relationships with people on a foundation of communication and trust. Creating a community, a vibe, where our clients will not only hang out with some pretty cool people, but will leave feeling inspired to look better and live better.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m so grateful for my journey thus far! Of course obstacles and challenges have come and go but it’s all been a learning experience for me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a hairdresser who loves to customize start to finish, I specialize in short razor haircuts. Pixies, bobs, crops, and bixies but I also love a soft highlight and a lived in finish, What I am most proud of is the career and business ive been able to build. It’s surreal and at times very overwhelming but non the less, best thing that’s ever happened to me. What sets me apart from the rest is my team, my brand and my vibe. Hairitage always stays grounded, humbled, safe and happy.
Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Wow. Yes! so many, My dad is a huge resource for me. Always motivating me and holding me accountable. My dad, George, is a real estate broker who stays motivated so growing up I was exposed to books like The Alchemist, The E Myth, Who Moved My Cheese and Rich Dad Poor Dad. Once I opened the salon I was suggested to read Atomics Habits, Tiny Habits, 7 Spiritual Laws of Success and The Artists Way. I’m not a huge podcast listener but I have to give a shout out to Jay Sherry, On Purpose. And I can’t forget to mention my therapist. Therapy is a huge part of my growth. Learning to take time to relish, reflect, recharge and reconnect with myself through your the ups and downs.
