Today we’d like to introduce you to Stefanie Rouse
Hi Stefanie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Absolutely! My journey has been one of heartbreak, healing, and stepping into a purpose I never could have imagined.
Years ago, I was engaged and planning my dream wedding—until, just months before the big day, my fiancé unexpectedly called it off. It was devastating. In that moment, everything I had built my future around seemed to fall apart. But even in the heartbreak, I knew I had a choice: I could let this pain define me, or I could let God use it to refine me.
I made the bold decision to move across the country, from Pennsylvania to Los Angeles, but it wasn’t without direction—God had already placed a dream in my heart to pursue my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. At the time, I thought I was just furthering my education, but in reality, God was leading me into my calling.
That season of deep heartbreak became a season of transformation. God didn’t just heal my heart; He rebuilt my identity. He showed me that my worth wasn’t in a relationship status but in being His daughter. He took what was once my greatest pain—broken relationships, rejection, and disappointment—and turned it into the very thing I became most passionate about helping others with.
Through my studies and personal healing, I realized that so many singles and couples struggle with past wounds, self-doubt, and the fear of never finding love. And I knew God was calling me to do something about it. That’s how my journey as a Christian relationship coach began.
Now, through my Waiting Well Singles Community, mentorship programs, and coaching, I help men and women heal from heartbreak, trust God’s timing, and prepare for the marriage He has for them. What once felt like my greatest failure became the very thing God used to shape my greatest passion—helping others experience wholeness, love, and a God-led relationship.
Looking back, I see so clearly that what I thought was my biggest loss was actually God’s redirection to something far greater than I could have ever planned for myself. His ways are always higher, and His timing is always perfect.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been anything but smooth! Caleb and I have been working in this ministry for over nine years, and while we have seen incredible breakthroughs, there have also been so many ups and downs, challenges, and moments where we’ve wanted to quit. But through it all, God has continually reminded us that we are exactly where He wants us to be.
One of the hardest parts has been learning to trust God’s timing. When we first started, we had a big vision for what we wanted to build—helping singles heal, grow, and prepare for godly relationships. But seeing that vision come to life has taken time, and it hasn’t always looked the way we expected.
There have been seasons where we poured our hearts into something, and it didn’t grow as fast as we had hoped. Times where we’ve felt like we were putting everything into this calling, but the doors weren’t opening as quickly as we thought they should. It tested our faith, our patience, and our trust in God’s bigger plan.
Navigating social media and online ministry. Being in this space comes with spiritual warfare, discouragement, and seasons of doubt. We’ve faced criticism, felt the pressure to always be creating content, and battled imposter syndrome—wondering if what we were doing was really making an impact. But every time we’ve felt discouraged, God has sent us confirmation—whether it’s through a message from someone whose life has been transformed, or a door opening that we never expected.
There have been personal challenges, too—balancing ministry with marriage, traveling for event, and learning to adjust as our community has evolved. We’ve had to trust God in seasons of financial uncertainty, creative burnout, and waiting for His next steps.
But through it all, God has been so faithful. Every time we’ve wanted to quit, He’s reminded us that this isn’t just our ministry—it’s His. And as long as we keep saying “yes” to Him, He will continue to provide, sustain, and open doors we never could on our own.
Looking back, I can see that every struggle has been a setup for something greater. The delays, the disappointments, the roadblocks—they weren’t God saying “no.” They were Him shaping us, preparing us, and aligning everything perfectly for His timing.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that God’s plan is always better than mine, even when I don’t understand it.And the beauty of walking in faith is that we don’t have to see the whole path—we just need to trust the One who is leading us.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Caleb and I are Christian relationship coaches, content creators, and mentors dedicated to helping singles heal from past heartbreak, navigate singleness with confidence, and prepare for godly marriages. Over the past nine years, we’ve built an online ministry that reaches hundreds of thousands of people worldwide through our videos, books, courses, mentorship programs, and now our podcast!
One of the things that sets us apart is that we do everything in-house—from filming and editing our own videos to writing books, creating courses, and leading mentorship communities. We post new content every Monday-Friday across social media to encourage singles and couples in their faith and relationships. Everything we share is rooted in biblical truth and real-life experiences, making it both practical and deeply personal.
We’re also authors of four books, including our latest, 52 Prayers for My Husband, 52 Prayers for My Wife, which dives deep into what it means to love with a whole heart—God’s way. Our books have been a huge part of our ministry, helping people break free from past pain and embrace the love and purpose God has for them.
In addition to writing, we’ve developed online courses and mentorship programs that walk singles through a step-by-step process of healing, growth, and preparation for marriage. Our Waiting Well Singles Community is a space where singles can grow in faith, build confidence in dating, and prepare for the relationship they’ve been praying for—all while being surrounded by like-minded believers.
What I’m most proud of is the transformation we’ve seen in the lives of those we mentor. Nothing compares to hearing from someone who was once stuck in heartbreak, fear, or doubt—but is now thriving in their faith, walking in confidence, and even stepping into a healthy, godly relationship.
At the end of the day, what sets us apart is our heart for this work. This isn’t just a job for us—it’s our calling. Every course we create, every video we film, and every mentorship call we lead is done with the prayer that God would use it to bring healing, clarity, and hope to those who need it most.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
We love connecting with and supporting others on their journey, and there are many ways to be part of what we’re doing.
Join one of our mentorship programs – If you’re looking for guidance, encouragement, and biblical wisdom as you navigate singleness and prepare for a godly marriage, our Waiting Well Singles Community is a great place to start. It’s a space for singles to grow, heal, and walk in confidence with like-minded believers.
Buy and share our books – We’ve written four books, including Wholeheartedly Love, to help people find healing, breakthrough, and encouragement in relationships. When you buy a book for yourself or gift it to a friend, it helps spread this message even further.
Engage with our content – Every like, comment, save, and share on our social media posts helps us reach more people with messages of hope and truth. Your engagement makes a bigger impact than you realize.
Collaborate with us – We love partnering with like-minded individuals, brands, and ministries. Whether it’s speaking engagements, podcast interviews, or working together on projects that align with our mission, we’re always open to meaningful collaborations.
Tell a friend about our resources – If our content or programs have encouraged you, we’d love for you to share them with a friend who might need the same support. Personal recommendations are one of the most powerful ways to help others find what they need.
No matter how you support us—whether it’s joining our community, buying a book, or simply sharing a post—we are truly grateful. Everything we do is to help people grow in faith, trust God’s timing, and build healthy relationships, and your support makes that possible.
