Daily Inspiration: Meet Scharliina Eräpuro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Scharliina Eräpuro.

Hi Scharliina, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My Name is Scharliina Eräpuro. I was born in Finland, but grew up in Sweden. As a young girl, I always loved singing, dancing, and playing the piano, so I started writing music at a very young age. At 13, I had already written my first English album, a collection of 13 heartfelt songs played on the piano. I had a very tragic upbringing and experienced severe types of violence at home, so music quickly became the way I could turn pain into something healing and beautiful. As I grew older, I explored modeling and acting, learning to express emotion not just through sound, but through movement, story, and character. After finishing high school, I dove fully into music, collaborating with producers and also forming a pop duo that blended emotional, spiritual pop with house elements.

During COVID, the world stopped, and in that stillness, I studied entrepreneurship and business, I taught myself how to produce in Logic. That became the beginning of my true independence as an artist and founder. In 2021, I released my first solo single “Running,” which I produced myself. Soon after, I decided to no longer hide my pain but to transform it into purpose. I wrote and released my song “Little Girl” and founded¨Little Girl Project¨ (www.littlegirlproject.com) – a movement born from my own healing, created to give a voice to those who have been silenced. That journey led me to collaborations with global NGOs and eventually to perform my survivor anthem and speak at the European Parliament, something I never could’ve imagined as a little girl.

My acting career also began to grow. I was honored to appear in the worldwide number-one Netflix film “The Abyss”, as well as Finnish productions like “Rantabaari” and “Onnela.”I also stepped into pageantry, becoming Miss Festival Finland 2021 and a finalist in Miss Finland 2022, not for the crowns, but to use the platform to speak about healing, empowerment, and transformation.
My mission has always been simple- to remind people that no matter what they’ve been through, they can rise again, rewrite their story, and become the hero of their own fairytale and tun pain into passion.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.
My journey has been full of lessons disguised as challenges, moments that tested my strength, self-worth, and faith in my path. Intense therapy, self growth and healing.

Growing up, I often felt misunderstood and silenced. Music became my way to speak when words failed me. It was how I made sense of emotions that felt too heavy, too chaotic, too unsafe to say out loud.

For a long time, I carried deep pain, shame and scars from abuse, an eating disorder, and years of feeling not enough. But every time I broke, something new was born. Pain became a doorway, and creativity became my way through it.

That’s how Liina, Scharliina, and SCHAR came to life. 3 sides of me, an a creative idea when I was 13. How to disguise all parts of me, that didn’t feel welcomed. The human ego and higher self.

Liina is my core- she’s the sensitive soul, the dreamer, the girl who always wanted to be loved and understood. She holds the purity, the heart, and the truth of who I am underneath everything. Pure light and universal wisdom and kindness.

Scharliina is the bridge, the deep soul, the artist who began to take her pain and turn it into music, into meaning. She learned how to speak her truth on stage, even when her voice shook. She was born from the desire to heal, to be seen, and to inspire others to do the same.

And then came SCHAR- the fire, the rebirth, the confidence, the self respect, the dark feminine energy that rose from the ashes. SCHAR is unapologetic. She’s power, creation, sensuality, and freedom. She’s the part of me that no longer asks for permission to exist.

Creating them wasn’t about pretending to be different people, it was about giving voice to the many layers within me. and within all of us, we are not simply one dimensional expression. but infinite.
Each one came at a time when I needed to survive, to grow, to transform.

Now, I’m learning how to bring them together. To let Liina’s heart, Scharliina’s artistry, and SCHAR’s power coexist. To live as the full spectrum of who I am, soft and strong, broken and whole, human and divine.

Learning to produce my own music, build my projects, speak my truth, change the world and stand for what I believe in has taken endless nights, tears, and courage. But every struggle became part of my story, the alchemy that turned my pain into purpose.

I wouldn’t change any of it. Because it taught me that strength isn’t about never falling- it’s about rising, again and again, and turning your wounds into wings.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a top-charting singer, songwriter, actress, activist, and performer, but more than anything, I see myself as a storyteller and healer through art. My music blends cinematic pop with emotional depth, often exploring transformation, empowerment, and the journey from darkness to light. Bridging genres like: ethereal pop, singer-songwriter, dance pop, house, afropop and reggeaton.

Under my artist name Scharliina, I create music that comes straight from the heart. My song “Little Girl” reached #1 on the iTunes pop charts, and I’ve had the honor of performing my songs “Pieces of Me” and “Dance After Darkness” at the European Parliament for survivors of child sexual abuse.

Alongside my main project, I also express myself through two different sides of my artistry- Liina, who embodies softness, sensitivity, and spiritual truth, and SCHAR, who represents strength, power, and fearless self-expression. Together, they tell one full story, the duality between the higher self and the human ego, vulnerability and power, light and shadow.

SCHAR officially comes to life on my birthday, October 18, during a live performance in Los Angeles at Breaking Sound at The Cinegrill, Roosevelt Hotel. The first single, “Get Ready For Me,” releases on October 17, followed by “Boys & Needed” on October 24 – one being a bold Halloween banger celebrating freedom and feminine fire. Epic music videos can be found online.

Beyond my music, I founded The Little Girl Project, a charity movement that gives a voice to survivors of abuse and those who have been silenced. Through this work, I’ve collaborated with global NGOs and performed my survivor anthem at the European Parliament, one of the most meaningful moments of my life. Recently, on October 13–14, 2025 I was invited as a survivor speaker at a UNICEF and UN event in Bucharest, Romania, where I spoke about protecting children from violence to ministers from across Europe and Asia.

As an actress and model, I’m known for roles in Netflix’s “The Abyss” and Finnish series such as Rantabaari and Onnela. In everything I do – whether through a performance, a visual, or a campaign, my mission is the same: to make people feel, to remind them of their strength, and to help them see the beauty in their own story.

What sets me apart is that everything I create comes from real experience, from turning pain into purpose. I don’t just make music or act; I build emotional worlds where people can find healing, courage, and connection. That’s what I’m most proud of, that my art has become a light not only for me, but for others walking through their own darkness and finding their inner light.
My light has also been my community and people who have helped me along the way- like my photographers, engineers, managers. so shoutout to them for their hard work and support. I wouldn’t be able to do it all without them – Mixed by Gee (Mixing, Mastering), Sasha Kuznetsova (Communications, Management, Marketing), Mike Greene (Film & photography) Janne Peltonen (Film and photography) Thank you all so much. Im SO exited to share what we have created for the world of SCHAR.

How do you define success?
For me, success isn’t just about fame or achievements; it’s about using your gifts to inspire, heal, and uplift others. When you live in alignment with your purpose, every song, performance, or project becomes meaningful. Success is knowing that what you do contributes to something greater, that your work leaves a positive mark on the world. Success to me has been when Ive been able to touch, heal or help someone. Even just one person- with my work, story or art. My most successful moments are not my theNr1 Netflix acting success. But my speech at the European Parliament, Unicef & UN events. They create real change and impact. I am so grateful to have these platforms to share my voice and speak for those who cannot. For that I know my 13 year old self would be the most proud.
