Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Beld.
Hi Sarah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started out my hairstyling career working in a salon suite doing cuts, color and extensions. In 2020, I had the opportunity to join a bridal team and instantly fell in love with it! From 2020-2022, I was on three teams as well as working in my salon suite. I had my son in June 2022, I decided to put all of my efforts into my own bridal business (Boho Bridal Co.) and cut down my time in the salon to 2 days a week to be able to spend as much time with him as possible. Now I am solely doing bridal styling and extensions and never feel like I’m at work!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There were definitely some challenges along the way such as finding the right glam team to work with (I was on four teams at one point) figuring out how to market myself and breaking out of my shell and putting myself out there!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Currently, I specialize in boho and braided styles (think big messy buns, mermaid type of braids, beachy effortless styles). I take great pride in my attention to detail and I never stop learning! I’m always taking classes to perfect my craft. Having done weddings for three years now I know how stressful wedding day can be for the bride so I always aim to take away as much stress as possible when it comes to getting ready on the big day!
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I have worked with tons of amazing vendors over the years but Jodi Snowden is definitely one of my biggest mentors in the industry. I started out on her team and she introduced me to the bridal industry and is always pushing me to do more! I also of course have to say a huge thanks to my family and partner who always support me in any and everything I do.
