As fate would have it, the global pandemic proved to be a turning point in the lives of Ruriko and Cello, co-owners who were both affected by the temporary halt of the performing arts industry. Ruriko was laid off from her job, while Cello was on a break from engagements with the Hawaii Symphony and chamber music touring. At a crossroads, the duo recognized a unique opportunity and decided to take a leap of faith into entrepreneurship.
Their vision was to fill a gap in the event entertainment industry by offering high-quality classical live music that could elevate the atmosphere of special occasions. Despite the challenges of Covid-19, Pink Mozart Entertainment was born.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

Originally, Cello and I were classically trained musicians since the age of four, and we had dedicated our lives to becoming performers– not business owners. But as we learned to unite these two worlds, we discovered an incredible space where creativity and business go hand-in-hand. Now, Pink Mozart thrives by blending our artistic passion with a savvy business mindset, proving that the perfect mix of imagination and practicality can truly make magic happen.
