Today we’d like to introduce you to Rio Sage.
Hi Rio, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I moved from Maui to LA just a couple months after I turned 18! I’m going on 10 years here as of August of this year. Acting has always been my dream since I can first remember, which is why I made the leap to LA. I am still continuing to pursue my dreams everyday! I also do music. I sing and play the ukulele, which I taught myself how to play when I was a teenager. I just released a new song called “Manifest”, available to stream on all music platforms! I also do modeling, photography and I love to cook and create recipes, which I make videos of as well.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not always been smooth! There have been struggles along the way, especially during the pandemic. From losing jobs to wondering if I would make rent, yet I always manage to persevere. I’m a stubborn Taurus! Haha
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
In my acting career, for now I am known mostly on YouTube. I do lots of comedy sketches with my friends Stevie Emerson and Trevor Wallace. My “Jill of all trades” plethora of hobbies sets me apart from others.
What does success mean to you?
I define success as living your dreams as a reality! I actually talk about this in my new song “Manifest.” One of my lyrics is, “I’m living in a prayer come true.” I may not be where I want to be in life regarding all my career endeavors, but at the same time, I am where my past self wanted to be. It’s all about perspective and gratitude.
