Daily Inspiration: Meet Prince Razi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Prince Razi

Hi Prince, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My musical journey started off with my father. He was a well known bass player in Detroit, MI. Every birthday or Christmas he would buy a new instrument for me. He started with a keyboard, then a drum set, followed by a electric guitar & bass. Watching him at his shows & rehearsals inspired me to continue practicing & playing instruments. After time I started to visit my big brother William the 3rd who was in school at Middle Tennessee State University. He is also a musician & producer who would eventually start producing beats for local artist in the Nashville area. That inspired me to make beats & eventually rapping on my own beats after seeing Kanye West convert from Producer to Rapper on his first single Through The Wire. I’ve been in love with rapping & the art of Hip-Hop ever since.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Making the music has always been the easiest. Entering the music industry & gaining the respect of my legendary rap & hip-hop peers was definitely a challenge that at times still persist.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I consider myself the “Prince Of Entertainment”. I rap, sing, producer, songwrite, & act. I specialize & am best known for being a recording artist I’m the most proud of getting a deal & being able to tour the country meeting & working with people I grew up looking up to. What sets me apart from others is the fact that I’m a real musician. I don’t approach music & songs the same way someone with lack of experience approaches it.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice for those starting out is to study the greats & stay consistent. Things may not always come when you want, but if you stay ready, you won’t have to get ready. There’s nothing I wish I knew starting out. Everything happened exactly how it was suppose to.
