Today we’d like to introduce you to Pedro Cavaletti.
Hi Pedro , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I think I’ve always known I would be an artist. I recently graduated college, with a major on Acting for Film. But what I found out in my way out of film school is a huge passion for music as well. I have been making music videos for other artists songs for a while, and now after having singing lessons for over two years, I finally began to release some original songs.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I feel like professionally my journey has been pretty smooth so far, but I am mostly working on my own projects, which can be lonely sometimes. I am from Brazil, and moving to a new country has been a little challenging for me, and now that I am working with music, I might decide to come back.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am really proud of my newest musical project, which is my first album! I am producing it right now, and at this stage all the songs are already written and concepts created, and around 3 or 4 songs are done. It is a very different project from what I have done so far, and I am very excited for people to listen to it. There is a lot of experimentation going on, and that makes me nervous, but at the same time proud of what I am creating.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I think that networking is one of the most important things in this industry and there are so many ways to make it happen, like being in a school with other people that share the same passion, going to film festivals, or just being out there, looking for new jobs. You will always meet someone, and sometimes it takes one person to make a dream come true.
