Today we’d like to introduce you to Pamela Quinzi.
Hi Pamela, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Rome, Italy and I always had a big passion for the fashion world since I was a child. I studied as a Fashion Designer in Milan at the Istituto Marangoni and started to work in the fashion industry for important brands of the Made in Italy. In 2009, I moved to New York, and for me was a game changer. I got inspired to create my own brand: Kilame of One-of a-Kind shoes and dresses, and I promoted it everywhere. In 2017, I started to live between New York and Los Angeles and work with Hollywood celebrities. As far as today, my brand Kilame is famous worldwide.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My fashion journey wasn’t easy, like everything in life you face ups and downs moments, struggles, hustle but I never gave up even in my darkest days. Always tried to stay focused and moving forward. Many times my brand and my creativity helped me to heal and pushed me.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a Fashion Designer, I create shoes one of a kind with embroideries, crystals, accessories and I make dresses. I’m very creative, I like to work with different materials and also create graphics for my collection to place in different garments.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love Los Angeles and the Hollywood world inspires me so much. I attended many Red Carpet events and every time I see a celebrity wearing my pieces I’m very proud of my work. Los Angeles is amazing, love the ocean, all the areas around LA, from the city to the desert, the California vibe, and the lifestyle.
