Today we’d like to introduce you to Ollie Moore.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
2018 was my rock bottom year, my living situation, my health, and my relationship was horrible. I had no sense of direction, no ambition, and I felt so alone.
In the midst of my darkest time in life, it was only one thing that made me feel better, makeup.
One day I literally woke up and said I have nothing to lose! I’m going to do YouTube.
Of course, it sounded crazy to people because if they can’t see the vision you have or see that your bringing in money nothing matters!
Fast forward three years later, I am not a YouTube influencer but I am a beauty influencer mainly on Instagram.
I work with amazing brands like iconic minks, the crayon case, diamond lane Cosmetics, posh culture, just to name a few.
I never thought I could actually do something I love and gain income.
Along my journey, I realized this was more than makeup to me! This is my ministry.
So many young women reach out to me for advice starting with makeup but it always turns into something personal.
I try to be relatable and transparent with my supporter because Instagram can seem very flashy but usually there is a lot of emotion behind the person in the picture.
2021 I officially started taking makeup clients full time and I’m in love.
I love to make people feel better inside and out.
I also offer affordable in person and virtual classes for people who want to learn how to do it themselves.
I knew that whatever I wanted to do in the beauty world, I had to inspire and give back!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Of course, you have obstacles in everything you do, life is trial and error. In the beginning, work got in the way a lot. When your first starting out you spend more than you make and I had to work full time while pursuing my dream.
Now that I’m deeper into the business side, I have to learn new things everyday because it’s constantly changing…
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Being a beauty influencer and a makeup artist is my purpose and passion. I love everything beauty.
I’m most known for my glam looks, I love a good full glam look! I will say I’m most proud of my body paint looks I did from Halloween 2020, I had no idea I could even do body paint.
Overall I think what sets me apart from others is my transparency, I will put a makeup look up on Instagram and everyone will love it, meanwhile I’m on live telling them everything that went wrong with this look and how I finessed it.
I want them to know that I’m no Instagram model, I’m real and human just like you…
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I love to collaborate with other creatives! Even creatives in different fields, as an influencer and a makeup artist I’ve learned that I’m an artist in every way and I respect every art field there is, usually I collaborate a lot with photographers and hairstylist.
