Today we’d like to introduce you to Nico Padilla
Hi Nico, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am an independent photographer specializing in commercial photography, with a strong focus on capturing the essence of brands and dynamic events, particularly in the realms of motorsports and extreme sports. My creative vision is deeply influenced by my passion for car and motorcycle culture, as well as a love for adventure.
My journey began in landscape photography, where I immersed myself during countless expeditions and camping trips. Over time, my camera became an extension of myself, evolving from a mere tool into a means of artistic expression. While my commercial work is driven by a commitment to capturing dynamic moments and brand narratives, my heart remains deeply connected to landscape photography and fine art—core elements of my creative identity.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road, it is still a work in progress and that is why I like to call it my life project. One thing is getting good at the craft, growing as an artist and finding your voice and a whole different thing is the business aspect, which is an art in it of itself. I have learned a lot along the way and there is still so much to learn! All I can say is, once you find that one thing you love doing, give it all your energy and the rest will take care of itself with time.

Sometimes is hard to define our own creativity and put ourselves in a box. I am a creator who uses different tools in order to make my vision come through. I studied Mechanical Engineering and halfway along the journey I discover photography. Ever since then my camera has become an extension of myself, documenting my life and the world around me through my lens. Anything adventure, nature and engines related is my passion, and wherever I go my camera always goes with me.
