Today we’d like to introduce you to Navick.
Hi Navick, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
before forming Navick, we were coworkers introduced by a mutual friend. we worked on a musical project together and after getting along and working well together, we decided to work on a full project together and from there our Duo Navick was formed. we became a duo in 2018 and released our first ep Paradise in Soledad in 2020 and our full length album came in 2024, called 1994; paying homage to the music and year we were born in.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
some challenges we have faced mostly come from lack of motivation when we are creating. i.e not feeling inspired or in the writing stand point not knowing what to write about. we also hit a wall with going back to the same songs, sometimes not knowing when its completed or re-writting them over again.

Derrick is the producer and engineer for Navick, Nabila is the singer and song writer
we have a house and r&b sound and we aren’t afraid to experiment with sounds and genres.
we go into sessions with creating something that feels right and authentic to us
