Daily Inspiration: Meet Mishéll

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mishéll.

Mishéll, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m a professional singer, songwriter, and musician. I was born and raised in Ukraine and finished Music Academy in Kyiv. I received numerous accolades in international festivals, competitions, and TV shows throughout my career. I was at the top of my game when I suffered a stroke at age 23. Bouncing back from a stroke through music, I found my peace of mind in Israel, where I wrote plenty of new material. In 2019 I started to work on my album, Metamorphosis. Simultaneously in Kyiv, my team and I created a solo show, Table For Two. It’s an intimate performance with a warm atmosphere and soulful songs where I share my revealing stories.

After a few weeks, when the war started, I was evacuated from Ukraine. And here I am in Los Angeles, chasing my dreams. I’m delighted to be a part of this beautiful city with so many talents around.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
You know, it’s hard to say that the life of a musician is smooth. And transformations are always painful. It seems like the stroke happened when I needed to change something in my life: find my path and share my music.
Of course, right now, another big challenge for me is starting from scratch in another culture. But I’m grateful for everything that happened to me because it made me who I am today. I mean: “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get.” But I like the “chocolate” I got right now 🙂

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Sure! I create a blend of contemporary Soul with elements of Jazz. I have a fully recorded album that hasn’t been released yet. However, a few singles are already out, such as: OK, #1, and Fever, which you can find on all musical platforms. I’m thrilled to start performing because I believe my superpower is a live performance where people can feel my energy. So hopefully, you can see and hear me very soon in different places in LA.

All right, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
I’d like to say that we should trust the process and have faith that everything will fall into place as it’s meant to unfold. And, of course, It’s never too late to chase your dreams and pursue your passion. We all have the power to create a life that brings us joy and fulfillment.
