Today we’d like to introduce you to Minas Martirosyan.
Hi Minas, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Easy Waste Management began as a bold idea between four friends—none of us had prior experience in the waste industry, nor did we have a physical office or operational infrastructure. What we did have was a shared vision and an unshakable determination to build something revolutionary.
From the start, we knew our purpose went beyond simply collecting trash. Our mission has always been to transform the waste industry from the ground up—to reimagine how waste is handled, and ultimately, to convert it into efficient, renewable energy. We believe the future of waste isn’t in disposal, but in innovation and sustainability.
Like many startups, our journey has been marked by change. We’ve navigated ownership and equity shifts, but what’s remained constant is our commitment to the vision and the values we started with. That shared foundation has allowed us to grow organically, maintaining the positive energy and culture that fuels our team. We believe that culture is everything when you’re building something that challenges the status quo.
Today, the company is co-owned by myself and one of the original founders, who is also my best friend, and we’re proud to say that we’re experiencing our fastest growth yet. We’ve also been fortunate to have financial support from our other business ventures, which has allowed us to reinvest consistently into Easy Waste Management without compromising long-term growth for short-term gain.
Our story is still being written, but every chapter reflects our core belief: that waste is not the end of something, but the beginning of something greater.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
While our name is Easy Waste Management—and making the customer experience seamless is always our top priority—the journey to get here has been anything but easy.
From day one, we were building from scratch, with no physical location and no industry background. We used our homes as our base of operations, parking trucks in driveways and cleaning bins ourselves—sometimes even late at night at coin-operated car washes. We personally handled every pickup and made trips to the dump at the end of each day. It was gritty, hands-on, and far from glamorous.
We also chose to finance the company entirely with our own resources, without any outside investors. While that decision gave us full control over our vision, it made things especially tough in a capital-intensive industry like waste management. Still, we knew that growing something meaningful would never come without challenges—and that every struggle was just another part of our story.
I’ve always loved solving problems, and that mindset has been essential throughout this journey. We know the road ahead will bring even bigger obstacles as we scale, but we welcome the challenge. You don’t build anything truly transformative without a few battles along the way—and we’re here for all of it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
My journey into business started when I dropped out of high school and began working at my uncle’s distribution warehouse at just 16 years old. That experience gave me my first real taste of the business world. I treated that job like it was my own company, and that sense of ownership lit a fire in me that’s never gone out. Since the age of 23, I’ve owned and operated several businesses, taken on a wide range of roles, managed teams, and always done whatever was necessary to help a company succeed.
Today, I specialize in leading a passionate, high-energy team that truly believes in our vision—because I do. I’m known for being firm but fair, which has earned me trust and respect in both business and personal relationships. Whether it’s a client, partner, or team member, I treat everyone with integrity, and I believe that energy always comes back around.
At Easy Waste Management, I wake up every day excited to do what I do, and I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built. The growth we’ve experienced—especially in the past year—has been nothing short of inspiring, and it’s a reflection of the collective heart we put into this company.
Personally, I’m most proud of my family and my kids. Professionally, I’m proud of the culture, growth, and vision we’ve brought to life at Easy.
My mindset sets me apart. I truly believe that nothing is impossible if you’re willing to wake up every single day and do what it takes to win. That belief has carried me through every challenge, and it continues to drive everything I do.
How do you define success?
To me, success is rooted in purpose—waking up every day with a reason bigger than yourself and using that purpose to make a real difference. It’s about consistency, showing up even on the hard days, and committing to being just a little better than you were yesterday.
There’s a quote I live by: “You can’t cheat the grind, it knows how much you’ve invested. It won’t give you anything you haven’t worked for.” That’s the truth. Success doesn’t come to those who cut corners or chase shortcuts. It’s earned—slowly, through effort, discipline, and dedication. The grind sees everything, and it rewards those who show up with heart and hustle.
I also believe success isn’t a destination or a finish line—it’s a journey. The target is always moving, and that’s a good thing. If you’re truly growing, evolving, and pushing yourself, you’ll always be setting new goals and finding new levels to reach. The journey itself—filled with lessons, challenges, and moments of growth—is what defines true success.
