Daily Inspiration: Meet Michelle Alamilla

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Alamilla.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started about five years ago, I started by selling just my salsas! In my family everyone loves salsa, the spicier, the better & Everybody loved them so I decided it was a great way for me to start showing what I offer. I slowly started adding more stuff to my menu, mariscos, tacos, birria, chamoy dip, dulces enchilados & micheladas!

So far, everyone has loved what I do, I’ve been able to sell some of my products in a few liquor stores & have always sold out!

I moved to EAST LA in October & decided it’s time to bring my whole menu back & create a clientele in EAST LOS ANGELES, I’m from San Diego and most of my clientele is over there so hopefully, East LA will love what I bring to the table. I look forward to everyone trying my food out here.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road, the main struggle is moving to a city where you don’t know a lot of people. I lived in OC for a few years and moved to ELA in October but I’m from San Diego so I’d do most of my popups over there bc my clientele in SD is amazing! It’s kind of like starting over here, but with passion and dedication, it’ll work out.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a full-time home chef, I specialize in the Mexican cuisine! I’m the most proud of putting myself out there, even though I don’t really know people out here, I’m going to make it work. One day at a time, I know what I offer is like no other! You’ll love it if you give it a try!

What sets me apart from others is that I have my own style of making everything I do, I pour my heart into everything I make in the kitchen. So proud that my kids can watch their mom do what she loves, knowing it won’t be easy but with the support of my husband, kids, family & friends – todo es possible 💙

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
Just reach out, I’m willing to collaborate with anyone who loves what they do & gives it their all like I do. Tell your friends about me, share my page or buy a plate ❤️ You won’t regret it ✨
