Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Henry.
Hi Megan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Ooh, this feels like a juicy question! I am not my stories. I prefer to reflect on who I AM in the spaces and places beyond the story! You’ll have to excuse my spiritual sass. I am creating myself every day and asking how I can be of the greatest service to my gifts/talents and offer that to the collective. As someone who is adopted, I had an insatiable curiosity about life, identity, and purpose.
How did I fit in? Am I supposed to fit in? What am I here to create, who am I here to ‘be’, and can that shift and change as I free myself from the stories I tell myself? This is what drew me to acting and multiple forms of storytelling and artistic expression. To express and experience a spectrum of emotions and feelings and explore greater potentials and possibilities. Artistic expression for me, is a portal into greater dimensions of awareness and truth. It allows me to embrace lower aspects of the individual and collective self-or the shadow- and lovingly integrate and alchemize those aspects. I would fantasize about my genetic makeup and my lineage. Growing up in Southern California, I wondered about the parts of the world beyond sun tans, fabulous weather and orange groves. To me, art is an activation and an invitation into creation itself. What levels of consciousness are we creating from? What excites us and what tears at our heartstrings? Why is pain sometimes exquisite and ease anticlimactic? One of the things that I am passionate about, is compassionately looking at the stories we tell ourselves and how that informs who we are being and what we are choosing. From a neutral observer approach, we can begin to shift above judgment and allow a deeper understanding of our human potential without entangling in fixed conclusions, limited perspectives, shame/blame, right/wrong.
I am giving myself permission to view life from a playful and sass filled perspective. Does self-realization have to be painful? Why can’t our process of remembering be a delicious deep dive into magical creation, greater levels of love, curiosity, abundance, beauty, well-being and oneness? How can I dazzle others towards their own divine demonstration and support their fullest expression-in service to their light?
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I have certainly experienced many wobbles, wiggles and oh-sh*ts along the way. When I came into the knowing that life is about remembering our divinity and that everything we are subconsciously and consciously creating, is an opportunity to reclaim our power, and develop forgotten skill, I started celebrating everything! Our soul is always nudging us towards greater expansion and divine demonstration. When I have the courage to compassionately look at my triggers, I see great treasure. It’s not always easy to look at my shadow self and take responsibility for where I hold myself in limitation. For me, the recurring hurdle was waiting for people to choose/legitimize me and tell me what my purpose ‘in life’ is. I wasn’t certain of my value. Things felt confusing and I put this undue pressure on myself to get it ‘right, which kept me fearful of full expression. The treasure or blessing in my warped perspective, was the realization that I get to I get to determine my purpose and value. What if our ‘purpose’ is to follow our light and our highest excitement? To embody the god/source/universe consciousness within, and BE that in action?
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a self-proclaimed paradigm-shifter, here to assist with the ascension of consciousness and usher in new earth energy. I had an opportunity to chat about the importance of higher awareness in entertainment, during an interview for AWAKE TV. We are experiencing the great awakening, wherein we are collectively shifting into remembrance of our divinity. Old paradigm consciousness of lack scarcity, fear and separation is transmuting into abundance, god-source consciousness and divine love. This has inspired my heart-centered/service-based production company, that will be launching later this year. We also have an opportunity, as we are awakening to higher levels of awareness, to usher in unity consciousness by expanding the container of inclusion to include diverse thought and perspective. If we want to embody peace, unconditional love, and unity, then we must have the courage to first “be” the energy of those ideals: to bravely and compassionately hold space for the uncomfortable, without judgment, in order to bring unconscious aspects into the light to integrate and alchemize. In an effort to dissolve the veil of divisiveness and separation, I had the privilege to co-produce an award-winning socially conscious short film with a team of differing opinions.
The intention was to expand the conversation, illuminate greater truth, and promote healing and transmutation. It was a beautiful exercise in coming together inspired by our differences rather than in spite of them. It starts with each of us raising our own vibrational resonance and moving through the world as the energy of the ideals we wish to experience. What sets me apart from others is my willingness to see everything as a celebration. Everything serves in our expansion and is always supporting our fullest expression as the light beings we are-if we are willing to lovingly look at our shadow aspects. It’s about shifting our perspective from condemnation to curiosity so that we begin to compassionately question the levels of consciousness that are creating and perpetuating our stories and our reality. Are we being who we were taught we’re not or who we truly are? What if our loyalty to the idea of limitations has kept us from the knowing that the love and abundance that is our essence, is so much grander than we have ever experienced? Who is ready to join me in participating in THIS frequency?
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
There is nothing to prove. Perfection is YOU. You are whole and complete: the miracle, the magic, an aspect of the ALL THERE IS, as the delectable divine. There’s nothing to earn. You’re spectacular simply because you exist. Give yourself permission to see the divine perfection in all things, especially yourself. Everything you desire is within. It’s only a matter of learning to cultivate, amplify, trust, and expand that connection to source. We unconsciously block ourselves from impeccable co-creation with our higher self/universe, when we take action from a space of needing to make something happen in order to fill a void, or fix a perceived problem. Mind-driven manifestation-no matter how impressive the result- is limited in some way. I am shifting into heart-centered curious creation and experiencing potentials and possibilities beyond what I could ever conceive from the the ego-mind. Letting go of the need to prove has expanded both my ability to trust myself and my capacity to receive.
Competition is the old paradigm; collaboration, connection, and unity consciousness is the new.
