Today we’d like to introduce you to Lizz Adams.
Hi Lizz, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a beauty entrepreneur, vlogger, and micro-influencer. I graduated high school in 2011 and straight from hs I began my career as a Cosmetologist. I attended the Aveda Institute of Washington D.C. and obtained my Cosmetology license upon completion. From there, I began working as a hairstylist and makeup artist. I worked in salons and began building my own local clientele. I began doing hair and makeup for weddings, photoshoots, bridal parties, and special events. In 2019 I began my youtube channel; I always wanted to do youtube since 2014 but never started because I wanted everything to be perfect. I didn’t realize my need to be perfect was actually delaying me from getting started. In 2019 I started my youtube channel, knowing I wanted to be in front of the camera I chose the beauty niche of course doing how to videos, storytimes, and just showcasing my skills and talents in the world of beauty. As I began doing more beauty videos, I quickly realized that I wanted to grasp my audiences attention more and continue to connect with them on a more personal level. I always had goals and dreams of being bigger than I actually was. I knew my life had a purpose and I wanted to share my vision with my audience. I began doing lifestyle vlogs. This led me into showing my viewers my everyday life behind the scenes and sharing my journey from moving from my home state to Los Angeles to of course follow my dreams and create the life I always envisioned for myself.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, not at all. I’m blessed nonetheless, however I always have wanted to show people that with success and just following your dreams, it will not be easy and everyday isn’t a good day. In today’s world, I think we are constantly comparing ourselves to other peoples journey’s and their level of success based on what we see on the internet and through social media. So this has inspired me to show others my journey and give them both the good and bad. I think that when people see the struggles that come with following your dreams or success in general, they will respect you and ultimately YOU will value the success knowing what it took to achieve it. Its important people understand that nothing comes easy, and working hard for something is always worth it when you don’t give up.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a beauty and lifestyle creative, I create lifestyle content on youtube and TikTok. I am most known for moving to Los Angeles in the middle of a pandemic, alone and chasing my dreams while inspiring others through my journey to success. I am most proud that I am still here, and I haven’t given up. I’m proud that others can relate to my journey and I’m able to inspire them along the way. What sets me apart from others is that I’m very driven, I’m myself and I’m okay with being vulnerable. I’m absolutely okay with others seeing my good and bad days, I have nothing to hide. I want to show both the good and bad and I’m willing to lose whomever or whatever in order to do so.
Any big plans?
I plan on becoming a business owner and full-time content creator, I want to get married and have five kids and continue to inspire others. I want to help others and create generational wealth.
