Daily Inspiration: Meet Lexi Layne

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lexi Layne.

Hi Lexi, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was always into music, I started off performing in musical theatre at the young age of six. I slowly transitioned into writing my own music and found my genre in rock/metal. Moving to LA three years ago, I’ve been working on my EP that will debut in 2021.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been smooth ha, but that’s all part of the process. The struggle I always say makes you stronger. It has taken me a good two years to really get the gears going on my project. I am very happy with the way things are turning out, finally!

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a singer/songwriter here in Los Angeles. My style, I would say is edgy, raw, and in your face. I would say I’m known for my boldness and strong vocals. I’m never afraid to cross that line and take that leap. I’m very excited for everyone to finally hear this EP of mine and my newest single “Sinner and Saint” that is out now on all musical platforms. I am super proud of this project, it has been a long journey of conquering this EP the way I had envisioned in my head.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My musical theatre days, I started when I was four performing and competing around South Florida. I always loved being on stage, it is where I feel the most alive.
