Daily Inspiration: Meet Lena Elisabeth Eggers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lena Elisabeth Eggers

Hi Lena Elisabeth, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The Fashion Fortune Teller is an experiential project. It began through a deep love for fashion, art & design. The project began as a passion project with vintage attire + goddess boxes + kaftans, which has later developed into a bespoke and custom design project. Market research was done in multiple countries, and Los Angeles is one of her favorite places. The majority of everything is produced in Italy and designs are created as if you were a star. The Fashion Fortune Teller is a mobile design service, that is mainly out of LA, Milan, Paris, London, Berlin, Vancouver, and New York soon, but is generally bookable globally. The design methodology named Divine Design Science is used bringing a higher frequency to fashion, which normally means bringing in more ethical, sustainable and heart-centred fashion at the heart of the business. The book will come out later this year, which was written over a four year period, that was also highly research based.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course, it hasn’t been a smooth road, it’s been a divine soul mission, getting to understand people on a deep level, and deeply understanding the fashion industry, the greatest desire to create an ethical and sustainable way to produce fashion and to bring this through in a fun and joyous way. There is such a beautiful side to fashion, that everyone sees, the glamour, the beauty, everything wonderful. In the background there is a lot of hard work, and there are some issues with fast fashion that has deeply shaped the fashion industry into one of the most difficult and also unethical industries. To bring through the new ideas, fashion, research, with a deep understanding for society, people. The development of an ethical and new level of global supply chain, has been developed and it’s been quite the journey. In the future I will share a little bit more about this.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a specialist in personalisation and giving a special experience. If we look at the past of fashion, if we go deep into the history of it, clothes used to be made by a tailor and people would have less clothing in general, and it would be a more simple way, the way that clothing was made in the past was more delicate, and definitely not fast, one of the main things I am bringing through now is weaving the history and that past way of creating fashion back in. One which is more slow and more person-based and unique and also very special for each person.

What matters most to you? Why?
The fitting clothing pieces, that are created in a sustainable manner, with a sharp gorgeous style, to give a star feeling to whoever is wearing and ordering the pieces. It’s important that everyone who works on the article of clothing gets the respect, and the adequate amount of time to work on the clothing article and every piece is tailored to those who are wearing. Not only to offer unique clothing pieces, but also to offer a specific style suggestions, and also an extraordinary experience, an unforgettable experience, one that is not only personal but very bespoke, otherwise custom.
