Today we’d like to introduce you to Larry Fay.
Hi Larry, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my photography and film journey in Chicago as youth at Robeson High school on the city south side. I than moved to Long beach/LA for college, took classes at long beach city and USC. I didn’t finish, but my passion for Photography and film didn’t stop me so I kept going! I even was homeless at one point in time…but I felt it was all part of my story to Overcome and excel. I began to make a passion into a business and keep striving from there. From studio shoot to the red carpet!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I had a few struggles…because chicago and LA are big city markets so I had to stand out and create dope amazing content and make every photoshoot session and film session feel like a memorable time for my clients and creative influencers i worked with. I was even was homeless at one time…but I overcame it and kept excelling and understood the passion of what you love will always make a way for you if you keep believing in yourself & put your faith into God!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
So i specialize in documentary style vlog content with video and lifestyle photography in pictures. I’m proud of just creatinfluences & capturing moment in time well never get back and making something amazing and memorable out of it for clients,families,brands,and influencers. What set me apart from most people who do what I do….is embrace the love I have for God and everyone I worked with notice and I feel that’s one of my strongest attributes about myself!
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
As a film content creator and photographer business man…I’ve taken so many risk of doing free shoot for the love I have for film and photography…when bills were due…but every risk I took of doing a free shoot.. God blessed with a lucrative business venture afterwards and a relationship with a lifetime business partners with the people I’ve worked with. So it made me realize everything happens for a reason…you just have to know how to maneuver and understand the mission that’s in play.

- film project/YouTube I charge $600+ as a starter
- Wedding I charge $1500+ as a starter
- Headshots/ interviews $150+ as a starter.
