Today we’d like to introduce you to Kim Somers Egelsee.
Hi Kim, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After a career in the entertainment industry acting, singing and modeling and also a career as a Special education teacher, with my Communications degree, credentials in educational psychology and certifications, I started over 18 years ago doing life coaching and intuitive readings. That lead to me having Willow Tree Women’s Circle in the San Fernando Valley and Orange County, where women came together for connecting, workshops and personal growth. In the last ten years, I was able to do a Ted talk, and write several #1 best-selling books including; Getting Your Life to a Ten+. I held over 300 masterminds, workshops, retreats and events and in 2019, began co-hosting Talk Purpose and Truth Podcast. Currently, I just launched High Vibe Soul Sisters Connecting Circle in Orange County. It’s an amazing group for women to grow spiritually, professionally and personally with deeper connections and authenticity.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
One of my biggest struggles was when I was close to doing my Ted Talk, my daughter Nia ended up in the hospital for something scary and serious for a week. I was able to be there for her and still prepare for my talk, and Thankfully everything went very well.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart from others is that I’m extremely authentic, down to earth and encouraging. I help people see gifts in them that they didn’t realize they had or weren’t owning. I specialize in helping people exude and learn confidence, flowing through fear, cultivating inner peace and shining as who they are.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was very interested in leading and would hold kid’s meetings in my backyard clubhouse that my Grandpa built. I traveled a lot and was in theatre and acting in high school and college.
I did have some experiences of being bullied as a child, which lowered my confidence and gave me the inspiration to research and study ways to build confidence as an adult, learn it and start to teach it.
