Today we’d like to introduce you to Keldamuzik Diva.
Hi Keldamuzik, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been drawn to expressing myself creatively, even before I knew where it would take me. Growing up in the Bay Area, I started with poetry and quickly found that hip hop gave me the freedom to tell my story in my own way. That evolved into performing, recording, and eventually building my own lane as The Diva of Hip Hop.
Over time, I realized I didn’t just want to be an artist — I wanted to be a brand. That’s when I launched Digz Media Group, which opened doors for me to produce content, manage projects, and collaborate with other creatives. From there, I branched into film, television, and fashion, creating projects like Diva Talk Tonite, The Hodges, and my fashion line Tamz Berets.
My journey has always been about independence and evolution — proving that you can be multifaceted and still stay true to yourself. Every chapter, whether it’s music, business, or film, represents a different side of me. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I’m even more excited about where I’m going next.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all — it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but that’s what makes the story worth telling. As an independent artist and businesswoman, I’ve had to build everything from the ground up without a major label or corporate machine behind me. There were times when funding was tight, opportunities fell through, or I had to prove myself twice as hard just to be taken seriously — especially as a woman in hip hop and entertainment.
There were also creative struggles. When you’re running your own brand, you wear a lot of hats — performer, producer, marketer, manager — and it can be overwhelming. But every obstacle taught me how to adapt. I learned how to handle my own business, negotiate deals, and keep ownership of my work.
The key has always been perseverance and faith. Even when things got rough, I stayed focused on my purpose — to inspire, entertain, and build a legacy on my own terms. Those challenges shaped me into the “Diva” I am today — not because life was easy, but because I kept pushing through when it wasn’t.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I wear a lot of creative hats, but at my core, I’m an artist and storyteller. I’m best known as *The Diva of Hip Hop* — a performer, actress, and entrepreneur who brings confidence and empowerment into everything I do. My work spans across **music, film, television, and fashion**, all tied together by one message: owning your identity and using your platform to inspire others.
Musically, I’ve released several projects that blend hip hop, pop, and R&B, with placements on shows like *The Real Housewives of Atlanta* and *Bad Girls Club*. On the film side, I’ve starred in and produced projects such as *When Realty Goes Wrong*, *The Hodges* (on Amazon Prime), and *Love the Original Way*. I also host *Diva Talk Tonite* on Tubi — a talk show where I get to merge entertainment with real conversations.
What I’m most proud of is my ability to stay independent and still build a global brand. I’ve toured internationally, launched my fashion line **Tamz Berets**, and created opportunities for other artists through **Digz Media Group**.
What sets me apart is authenticity — I don’t follow trends, I set them. Everything I do is grounded in passion, business sense, and creativity. I’m not just in the entertainment industry; I’m creating my own ecosystem within it.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about the Bay Area is the *energy* — it’s raw, diverse, and full of creative people who hustle hard and dream big. The culture here is rich in art, music, and innovation. You can feel the rhythm of the city everywhere you go — from Oakland to San Francisco, there’s always something inspiring happening. The Bay breeds authenticity; it’s where individuality is celebrated, and I think that’s why so many legendary movements have started here.
What I like least? Honestly, sometimes the lack of industry infrastructure can make it tough for artists to get the same recognition we’d get in L.A. or New York. There’s so much talent here, but not enough platforms investing in it. That’s why I always make it part of my mission to shine a light on Bay Area creatives and show the world that we’re just as powerful — if not more — than any major entertainment hub.
