Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Wiggins.
Kayla, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello, my name is Kayla Wiggins a.k.a soon to be known to the world as Kaii Jaii (KJ). I am a professional model, singer, actor, dancer, and amongst other talents that I do possess as a stylist and make up artist as well. I have been modeling for the past 12 years and have traveled to various states to do so. I have been in New York fashion week two years in a row. As well as other main social events like LA fashion week. I take my career very seriously I am determined to be the next big face in this industry. Because I consider the world to be my runway and I won’t stop until I reach all my goals. About a month ago, I moved to California to further pursue my career and dreams. I want to represent all women of all race, nationalities, and sizes to prove to the world that beauty is truly within. I want to be able to tell my truth, my story on how this little girl from Gary Indiana grew up to be this strong beautiful 6’4 goddess. Seeking and determined to fight and to prove herself to the world that no matter where you come from continue to follow your heart and your dreams. To put forth the effort and the work toward your goals and you will always reach the highest point of your life. To be able to come back and help others reach theirs and so much more, because in this world of so much hatred true love begins with loving yourself first and spreading abroad to others.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Anything worth having is going to come with a lot of struggles and obstacles but that’s what makes your dream worth it in the end. If you can establish within yourself that you will stop for nothing to push for what you want in your life because fear is nothing but an acronym for false evidence appearing real. Fear can stop you from achieving your most highest high and put you in your most lowest lows so do not be afraid to take that opportunity and change when it comes your way. So once you can grasp that aspect that fear is not real it’s just a figment of your imagination and you get past that obstacle you could do whatever you put your mind to. Fear was one of my struggles also listening to too many people’s opinions on my life and my decision-making. Not believing in myself as much as I should and not loving myself enough to ignore the ignorance from other people’s insecurities about themselves transferred over into my life…
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I like to consider myself a very unique individual. I use myself as my own personal canvas for creating new styles. I see the world in colors, fabrics, and designs. The abilities to be able to draw and create me designs. To see the beauty of the most hideous and ugliest of things, to let the world see how I see things through fashion and design. What sets me apart from everybody else is my love and compassion to give back to others the gift that was bestowed upon me to teach and to train others to love in that fashion.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is whatever that specific individual makes it. Everybody’s definition of success is different as long as you are happy and at peace with where you stand in life and you consider that successful then you’re successful. Being able to go through life without any regrets but with lessons learned is one of the most successful things anyone can ask for. Knowing that you came into this life with nothing, but to leave it with something that will out last you to make this world a better place.
