Daily Inspiration: Meet Karina Gutierrez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Karina Gutierrez.

Hi Karina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
We are a husband and wife photography team. Karina began taking photos within a studio setting when she was a teenager and quickly became manager where she managed and helped train all of her employees. Karina managed studios for nearly 20 years, where she won awards and was recognized through her companies nationally. When we got married in 2007, we decided to start our own business where Alfred brought his technical and editing skills to the table where he too had learned to photograph with the help from Karina. Throughout our time together through the years, we have photographed many things under the sun including Weddings, Engagements, Portraiture, Fashion, Restaurants, General Events and Concerts. Each one of these lines of work experiences have brought us full circle and has allowed us to really take on any job presented with full confidence and with the quality to back us up. This is who we are, and this is what we love to do, thank you!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been as smooth as it can be, thankfully thus far, but we can say each new situation along the way has allowed us to learn and grow. Mix of personalities can have its challenges at times but we simply stay true to who we are, and things usually work themselves out.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
We are primarily photographers, but also aspiring hybrid photographers where we can shoot both photos and video. We have photographed weddings, events, concerts, fashion, magazines, brands and more. We are more known for being a husband-wife team with an extensive background in photography, with loving hearts, while providing professionalism and excellent quality of work. We are most proud of having the opportunity to be in-house photographers for bands such as New Kids On The Block, Naughty by Nature and Tiffany. Proud for having our photos shared throughout social media with their fans and also featured within a Concert Program. What we believe sets us apart is our personalities combined with the experience and ability to separate and work a space together from different angles.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to us is having a well-balanced mutual respect between us and our clients and making sure we all have a good time while still fulfilling our expectations. Because without this we wouldn’t be able to take one another seriously, and ultimately affect the outcome.
