Daily Inspiration: Meet Jurate Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jurate Brown

Jurate, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Hello! I’m Jūratė Brown the founder and creative force behind Jūratė, a women-owned business that stands for both passion and purpose. My journey into jewelry design started unexpectedly when I came across a beautiful necklace in a boutique. Though it was stunning, it was priced beyond my reach. This moment sparked my determination to learn how to craft jewelry myself, and ever since, I’ve been dedicated to creating stylish pieces that are both affordable and environmentally conscious.

Growing up in a family of blacksmiths, including my grandfather, I’ve always had a deep connection to metalwork. Today, as a metalsmith and silversmith, I combine that heritage with my love for trends to design jewelry that reflects both tradition and innovation. My designs are a blend of timeless craftsmanship and modern flair, giving you the best of both worlds.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road hasn’t been completely smooth, but I think that’s true for any meaningful journey. One of the biggest challenges I faced was balancing creativity with practicality. I’ve always been passionate about creating trendy, beautiful designs, but ensuring they were also affordable, durable, and sustainable took a lot of experimentation and persistence. It wasn’t easy to find the right materials and processes that aligned with my vision for the brand.
Being in such a competitive industry was another challenge—there’s so much talent out there, and carving out a space for Jurate meant constantly learning, staying adaptable, and refining my approach.
But honestly, every struggle has been a lesson. These challenges pushed me to grow as a designer, business owner, and individual. They’ve made me even more committed to building a brand that not only creates beautiful jewelry but also stands for something meaningful.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in designing trendy, sustainable jewelry that combines timeless craftsmanship with modern style. At Jūratė, we’re known for creating pieces that are not only beautiful but also eco-friendly and built to last. We strive to make high-quality, environmentally conscious jewelry accessible to a wide audience, and some of our favorite designs include pieces with inspirational messages—wearable reminders of strength, confidence, and empowerment.

I’m particularly proud of how we’ve blended fashion-forward designs with meaningful messages, creating jewelry that resonates deeply with our customers. It’s incredibly rewarding to see people feel confident and stylish while knowing they’re making a positive impact on the planet.

What sets us apart is our attention to detail and our commitment to sustainability. We use recycled materials, create durable designs, and even offer replating services to ensure our pieces stay out of landfills. It’s not just about making jewelry; it’s about making a statement and inspiring others to embrace both style and purpose.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I’d like to thank everyone who values thoughtful, handmade pieces and supports small businesses like mine. Your encouragement keeps us motivated to create designs that are not only beautiful but meaningful.

Jewelry has this unique ability to connect us to memories, people, and moments in life. That’s why I’m passionate about creating pieces that aren’t just accessories but stories you can wear every day.

I also believe we all have the power to make better choices for our planet, even in small ways. By choosing sustainable fashion, you’re contributing to something bigger—supporting a future where style and sustainability work together effortlessly.
