Daily Inspiration: Meet Julian Hall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julian Hall.

Hi Julian, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Julian “Fermino” Hall. I have worked in the entertainment industry for 3 years and have been able to meet some pretty successful people. I got my start as an intern at Overbrook entertainment where I learned the basics of storytelling, After being promoted to the assistant level, I had the opportunity to sit on various meetings and understand different parts of the process of filmmaking. Fast forwarding to today, I am a Creative Executive for JBey Entertainment, where I help develop stories and find new ones as well.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not always been easy working in Hollywood. I am still very early in my career but I can say that the hardest part was being an assistant. An assistant is the gateway to the industry as they know the schedules and have access to all the working parts of a project. With that being said, assistants have to make sure everything is running smoothly for their boss which can sometimes be very stressful.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I work as a creative executive, where I help develop stories and assist with putting pitch packages together. A role like this can be different at every company judging on the size of the entity. For me personally, I am tasked with aiding riders and meeting new connections in the industry.

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success as the achievement that fills you with the most happiness.
