Daily Inspiration: Meet Jeremiah Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremiah Jones.

Hi Jeremiah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in an overall creative family, music on my dad’s side and photography and visual arts on my mom’s side. I grew up watching my dad and uncles make songs every night in our in-home/garage studio. I recorded and helped write my first song when I was in about 1st or 2nd grade. Since then, I’ve been writing and performing music and doing my best to perfect my craft as a musician and creative.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My creative journey has definitely had its fair share of ups and downs but the fact that I’m still able to be a creative at this stage is my life is a huge honor and blessing. With that being said, I’d say my biggest struggle in my creative journey has mostly been the constant battle of being comfortable and completely confident with sharing myself and my music to the world. Thankfully I’ve had the continuous opportunity to keep growing myself and also investing time into my craft and not being afraid to learn and experiment with my creativity and also allowing myself the freedom to fail and learn from all things along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m an artist and I specialize in rapping singing and music production. I also run a small business by the name of ANYDAYNOW. I would say I’m most well known for my musical artistry I’ve been rapping, singing and writing music most of my life. Up to this point, I’d say the thing I’m the most proud of is my first project I dropped on all streaming platforms titled “ANYDAYNOW”. I crafted this album over about a 2-3 week period with my uncle and producer Quamie’Yae. I put everything I had in me into that project and I believe the results as far as the sound we were able to craft and attention that was garnished made all the hard work worth it.

I believe what sets me apart from others is my versatility and drive to constantly want to improve myself in many different facets whether it be rapping, singing or production I’m always pushing my own boundaries in search of something greater than what I once was and currently am.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I’d say what I love most about our city is the sheer number of creatives and the nonstop inspiration that can be pulled in from any and every direction you go in.

I’d say what I dislike is the lack of outreach and true artistic environments. I feel like so many people are doing so many different things in the area that art has become a bit of a hobby and less of a passion for most, so I guess the sheer number of creatives can be a gift and a curse.
