Today we’d like to introduce you to Jane Poole.
Hi Jane, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am the Artistic Director of Faith Presbyterian Church of Valley Village. I am also a professional singer in the entertainment business of 25 years in LA. I started as a soprano section leader in the Faith Pres Chapel choir and my role evolved to th leadership role I’m currently in where I create youth music programs in our neighborhood bridging together Faith, music, and community.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yes! When people want to support young kids and their music, people come in droves. But when it comes to going to church, people often do not want to come or feel connected. We are trying to change that.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am most proud of the work I do bring kids and families together with music programs in our church. I am a voice teacher also and mentor youth ages 8-18 on their music journeys building self-confidence, skill, and vocal artistry.
