Daily Inspiration: Meet Jaleer Wiggins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaleer Wiggins

Jaleer, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My professional journey began at Clark Atlanta University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Television and Film in 2015. During my studies, I gained valuable hands-on experience through internships and freelance roles with CW69 and True Entertainment. There, I contributed to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, assisting with production tasks, talent management, coordinating extras, and handling releases. These early opportunities provided a solid foundation for my career in media production.

I expanded my expertise with production assistant roles at BET, starting with the BET College Tour and later working on flagship events like the BET Hip Hop Awards. My freelancing experience also included roles with networks such as Revolt TV, Food Network,FOX and Eastern then, where I supported productions for shows like MasterChef Junior, Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, American Ninja Warrior, and Chrissy & Mr. Jones.

While still a student, I collaborated with peers to create 223 The Kick Back, a television series inspired by Rap City: The Basement which aired on local Atlanta channels. This project was a catalyst for my entrepreneurial and creative ambitions. In 2013, I studied abroad in the United Kingdom, where I refined my skills in casting, location scouting, and costume design, gaining a global perspective on the production process.

Two pivotal moments in my career include working as a talent wrangler and manager for the BMF Documentary and Joe Millionaire in Atlanta, Georgia. These experiences solidified my passion for storytelling and fueled my ambition to become a Talent Producer, where I can create impactful and memorable content.

Today, I am the proud owner of Wranglo, a Talent Relations Management and logistics company dedicated to connecting talent with opportunities and brands. I also serve as a Talent Producer at The Zeus Network, a role I have held for the past two years. Throughout my career, I’ve remained committed to excellence, growth, and delivering value in every aspect of production, talent management, and strategic coordination.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to where I am today has certainly not been smooth, but each challenge has shaped me into the professional I am now. After completing my studies, I decided to take a two-year break from production to explore other career opportunities. During that time, I attempted to launch a clothing line called Runnerz. While the brand gained some traction and performed well in my hometown, it didn’t expand as I had envisioned. It was a valuable learning experience in entrepreneurship, teaching me about perseverance, adaptability, and the importance of a strong support network.

During this period, I also worked at USPS to maintain stability. Like so many others, the COVID-19 pandemic brought additional challenges. Housing circumstances forced me to relocate back to my hometown in New Jersey for about a year before I was able to secure housing and return to Atlanta, where I could fully focus on rebuilding my career in production.

These setbacks, though difficult, gave me perspective and allowed me to refine my goals. They reminded me of the resilience it takes to succeed in the media and entertainment industry. Through it all, I stayed committed to my passion for storytelling and talent management, which ultimately inspired me to establish Wranglo and step into my current role at The Zeus Network, where I continue to experience tremendous growth.

Looking back, I can see how those experiences were necessary steps in my journey. They taught me to embrace challenges, pivot when needed, and remain focused on the bigger picture. Every detour has been an opportunity to grow, both personally and professionally.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in talent relations and media production, with a focus on connecting creatives with opportunities and building impactful content. As the owner of Wranglo, a Talent Relations Management and logistics company, I work closely with artists, models, and entertainment professionals to help them navigate their careers and align with brands that enhance their visibility and growth. Additionally, I serve as a Talent Producer at The Zeus Network, where I have the privilege of working on highly popular reality show Baddies and managing incredible talent.

What I’m most proud of is the ability to blend my creative vision with my organizational skills to help others shine. One of my proudest achievements is launching Wranglo, which has allowed me to merge my passion for storytelling with my commitment to supporting talent and creating seamless production experiences.

What sets me apart is my deep understanding of both the creative and logistical sides of the entertainment industry. With over a decade of experience in production, I’ve honed my ability to manage diverse personalities, solve problems under pressure, and foster meaningful relationships. Having worked on productions ranging from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta to Joe Millionaire, I’ve developed a unique perspective on how to bring ideas to life while keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.

My passion for people is another key differentiator. Whether I’m helping a brand find the perfect talent for a campaign or supporting a creative in achieving their dreams, I take pride in building genuine connections. I approach every project with the mindset of finding a way—or making one—and that persistence has been a defining aspect of my career.

How do you think about luck?
Luck, both good and bad, has certainly played a role in shaping my journey, but I believe it’s how I responded to those moments that truly defined my path. There have been times when bad luck seemed to throw me off course. For instance, after college, I took a break from production to pursue other ventures, like launching a clothing line called Runnerz. While it saw some success in my hometown, it didn’t expand as I had hoped. Additionally, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I faced housing challenges that forced me to relocate to my hometown in New Jersey, which was a setback for my career momentum.

However, even in those moments, I learned to pivot and adapt. Bad luck often pushed me to reevaluate my goals, refocus my efforts, and work harder to overcome obstacles. It taught me resilience and the importance of staying grounded in my long-term vision, even when the path was unclear.

On the flip side, I’ve also experienced moments of good luck—like meeting the right people at the right time or being given opportunities that allowed me to showcase my skills. For example, working on productions with MTV WIld’n Out and Revolt TV in Atlanta in my career provided me with invaluable experience and connections that continue to benefit me today.

Ultimately, I believe luck is only part of the equation. It’s about being prepared when opportunities arise and turning challenges into stepping stones. Whether it’s good luck or bad luck, I’ve learned to use each moment as fuel to keep moving forward, and that mindset has been key to my personal and professional growth.
