Daily Inspiration: Meet Ianne Lloyd

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ianne Lloyd

Hi Ianne , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started back in 2019 when my mentor Daniel Luttrell and I worked for my first single “Ride”. He took me under his wing and I learned a lot from him in terms of how music production works.

In 2020, I went to audio engineering school (CRAS) to better understand the music industry as a whole. Going to CRAS made me become a better artist, and it also molded me into an efficient recording engineer.

I’ve used all of the skills that CRAS and Daniel Luttrell taught me to become the independent artist that I am today. In 2021, I released my first EP “Serenade & Heartache”. I then took a break, not releasing anything until mid 2023.

In August 2023, I released my single “Touch”, and have not stopped since.
I released “FCKD UP” and “N2” in the same year. In 2024, I collaborated with Vinlisa with my single “Love You Right”.

I then released the acoustic version of “Touch”and followed it with my singles “Lose You” & “Homebody”.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There has been some bumps throughout my journey as an independent artist

When I first started, I relied heavily on my mentor to make music. It wasn’t until I went to CRAS did I learn to be efficient by myself.

After releasing my first EP in 2020, I struggled with depression and lost all motivation to make music. I just moved to LA, and seeing how this music industry worked first hand discouraged me into being an independent artist.

I decided to focus on work and my family and put music in the back burner, as I felt that it’s not what I felt like I wanted to do at the time. It wasn’t until 2023 when I decided to pick music back up.

I’ve been more consistent since then, and am not planning on stopping anytime soon.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an independent artist who writes and produce most of my own songs as well as for others.

I specialize in song writing and music production. I love vocals. I am the one who loves to stack harmonies on harmonies.

I also love fusing the older genres with the sounds of today. 2000s R&B and Pop is my main inspiration, and I try to infuse it with my music Production as much as I can while still making it sound new and fresh.

Having a background in audio engineering has helped me be a better independent artist, giving me a better edge. Having a good musical background really helps as well.

How do you define success?
Success to me is all about fulfillment. I would love to be in a position where my music can pay for my bills and be able to take care of those around me. But at the end of the day, I want to be able to create the art that I want to create, and as long as I feel satisfied and happy with the music that I am releasing to the world, then I feel successful.
