Hi Gregory, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The artistic and creative aspects of my professional career blossomed with the writing and publication of the exciting Kopp Chronicles series of historical fiction novels. This sweeping saga is based on my own immigrant American ancestor’s historical life experiences which spanned multiple continents, revolutionary upheavals, tragedy and ultimate triumph! These deeply personal stories about my ancestors, alongside famous historical figures, allow me to experience a shared sense of history with my worldwide readers. I am a graduate of Northwestern University, a Principal Consultant for Kopp Company, a Talent Ambassador for The Walt Disney Company, and now I am very proud to be an Amazon & Goodreads 5-Star Author!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Each volume of the Kopp Chronicles begins with an initial idea and significant historical worldwide research. While life’s daily events may have impacted my writing time, ironically, I was able to incorporate some of these parallel historical similar events into each story. Romance is intermingled in these stories with mystery and action-packed thrilling elements. The novels are now available in 5 different languages. I have come to realize that the same daily struggles and triumphs faced by me and my readers, were also encountered by our ancestors and royal and political figures throughout history.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
An exciting and joyful aspect of my writing is the recognition I receive from my readers, other authors, and publishing entities via social media and award programs; including “The Heiress in Kent” (volume 5 of the Kopp Chronicles) which received glowing reviews in “Publishers Weekly”, an international news website for book publishing. Several of the Kopp Chronicles novels have been nominated for the “Reader’s Choice Awards” by TCK Publishing and recognized for “Book Cover of the Month.” Reader websites including “Book of the Day” and others include my novels quite often as their feature selection.
I am also especially proud that the State of California public library systems added the Kopp Chronicles to their collections for their patrons to enjoy. Library patrons can now request the Kopp Chronicles’ novels in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, San Diego, Sacramento, Riverside and many more libraries through a variety of digital platforms including Overdrive/Libby, Bibliotheca Cloud Library, Hoopla digital and more. The Kopp Chronicles series of novels can also be requested by public library patrons worldwide through WorldCat, a global catalog from over 28,000 libraries.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The historical fiction books market including short stories, novellas and novels like the Kopp Chronicles is expected to continue to grow at a compound annual growth rate as the industry recovers from the global COVID-19 pandemic. With the advent of social distancing and remote work, readers worldwide were able to experience less time commuting and spend more of their leisure time enjoying exciting fiction literature. These fiction books can be enjoyed by children, young adults and adults.
