Today we’d like to introduce you to Gordon Baker-Bone.
Hi Gordon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started to fall in love with comedy while at college after taking a public speaking course. It started off as a hobby but later on unfolded into a career.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest obstacle for me is being able to create something new and original for myself. I’m someone who tends to get bored easily, so it’s very important for me to entertain myself in order to be entertaining on stage.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a comedian for the most part and do a bit of drone work on the side. That’s another hobby I picked up and fell in love with. I like to carry my drone with me when I’m on the road for gigs. I’m able to get some pretty incredible shots.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up in Newark, NJ, and later moved to Maplewood, NJ when I was in ninth grade. I live in a multicultural household. My mother is from South Carolina, and my father is from Guyana.
