Hi Franceasca, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
My journey in the world of filmmaking, curatorial work, writing, and wellness is a captivating tapestry woven with passion, creativity, and resilience.

My filmmaking career began with a spark—an indescribable fascination for storytelling through moving images. Perhaps it was the first time you held a camera, capturing the play of light on a dew-kissed leaf or documenting friends, finally into fine art BXW abstract nude photography. I was heavily influenced by Nan Golden, David Wojnarowicz, and Dash Snow, to name a few. Moving into films, I honed my craft, experimenting with angles, editing, and sound design.

Film school, with its intoxicating blend of theory and practical experience, was a place where I was able to dissect independent and classic films (something I’ve done since I can remember watching my first film). I also collaborated with fellow cinephiles.

Armed with knowledge and a hunger for authenticity, I worked on professional film sets—sometimes chaotic, often magical. I witnessed the alchemy of creativity: actors breathing life into characters, directors orchestrating scenes, and crew members working in harmonious chaos. I graduated with a BFA in Photography and an MFA in Film, with six shorts under my belt and a music documentary on the way. Soon after, I worked for a few studios as a writer/producer/director in creative service and wrote several feature films.

My love for visual art simultaneously blended into working in film. I curated multimedia exhibitions that transcended mere aesthetics. Immersing myself in the pulse of music festivals and contemporary art, developing large and private shows mixing mediums. I was still seeking narratives that whispered secrets of the human experience. The gallery walls became my canvas, each piece a larger narrative. I navigated the delicate dance between the artist’s intent and audience interpretation, weaving context and symbolism into immersive experiences.

Whether it was Art Basel Miami Beach, Ultra Music Festival, writing/ photographing converts, and discovering hidden gems in a quiet corner, I curated spaces where creativity collided with vulnerability. My passion for storytelling extended beyond film—each exhibit is a chapter in a boundless anthology. This led me to develop my magazine covering artists and their upcoming shows, working closely with countless art fairs and private collections. My documentary background and freelance writing background were the perfect recipe to have a culture magazine for eight beautiful years.

My writing journey began with introspection—a desire to translate emotions, observations, and musings into prose. I explored genres, from press releases, screenplays, and interviews to thought-provoking essays. The blank page became my confidante, absorbing your joys, sorrows, and revelations. I write about love, loss, and the human condition. My words resonated with readers, bridging gaps and sparking conversations. Writing wasn’t just a craft; it was my heartbeat—a rhythm that pulsed through every sentence.

Amid the whirlwind of creation, I discovered the importance of self-care at eighteen. Yoga mats unfurled like magic carpets, carrying me inward. I became certified and still teach. Meditation became my compass, guiding me through storms of doubt and exhaustion. I championed holistic well-being, recognizing that creativity thrived in balance. My wellness journey intertwined with my artistry, each mindful breath infusing your prose. I share my discoveries, urging others to find solace in stillness to nourish their bodies and minds using rebooting breathwork, sound healing, and somatic movement. My wellness advocacy became a symphony of healing notes.

And so, here I stand—a curator, filmmaker, writer, and wellness advocate—woven into the fabric of creativity. My path was never linear; it meandered through passion, setbacks, and serendipity. But every detour shaped me—the mosaic of my experiences, the chiaroscuro of my soul. Today, I’m not merely where I aimed to be; there are many loves that I haven’t ventured into yet. My heart still dares to dream.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road wasn’t a silk ribbon; it was a rugged trail.

I stumbled on uneven stones—the weight of doubt, the ache of rejection. Funding vanished like mirages, and deadlines loomed like thunderclouds. Yet, I pressed on. Each obstacle became a stepping stone; resilience is your compass. The struggle? It sculpted my story—the raw material of life and creation.

Thanks. What else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At 25, I birthed 3GZ Productions—an indie powerhouse. Darkbeat, my international music documentary, echoed across continents. Galleries became my canvas, where multimedia narratives danced. Art Basel? My annual masterpiece. Ultra Music Festival bowed to my experimental film festival—the first of its kind. Magazines carried my words and images, and LAiCREATIVES was born.

FX Networks and Current TV? I wore many hats—writing, producing, directing, managing. Screenplays flowed, and SAHA, my healing sanctuary, bloomed. Degrees stacked—BFA, MFA, yoga, rebirthing breathwork, sound healing. An ashram cradled my spirit for 18 transformative months.
