Hi Dwayne, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Back in 2018, I started my business called “madebyofficial”. I wanted to make a streetwear brand that was affordable to those that can wear flashy, luxury products without the expensive price tag. Throughout my journey, I’ve been through difficult times trying to save money and invest it back to the brand but due to lack of funds. I was not able to make my dream come into reality, and I am still at ground zero. I’ve seen people like the styles that I created and are willing to buy them off me. Comments like those push me to go harder every day to make the pieces I want to release and market them in a way where the world can see my vision. I know the competition that’s out there, and when you enter a field full of creators that have the same passion as me but I don’t associate my work to theirs because I know my creativity is different from others. Later on, I started to see progress in my brand people purchasing my I products in my city and all around the world because they saw what I was making wasn’t cheap it was high quality. I’ve done pop-up shops and been invited to fashion shows all because I didn’t stop working hard on my brand. My dream is to hopefully share the same story to others that want to make a brand and see how far their vision takes them.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a fashion designer. One of the reasons I started doing fashion I’ve worked for a clothing company, and something was telling me I can make something better without the expensive price. Doing some research, I’ve discovered a world where people get their products and find manufacturers to make it. Everywhere I go, I always design something that connects to make and see it world likes it.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
The people that you call friends, some will not be around till the end, and some people you want to collaborate with don’t put all their energy into the vision.
