Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana Bowen.

Dana, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
About 5 to 6 years ago, I decided to invest into my body and have cosmetic surgery. I wanted a flatter tummy, smaller waist and plumed butt. I worked out everyday to try and achieve this look many said I looked great, but I wanted something more. So, I decide I’m going to do it and get this work done!!! Once I had the surgery, I was very happy and pleased, but I noticed I still had to keep working hard in the gym actually even harder than before. Then I saw my waist starting to gain back some inches. So, I said maybe I need to wear my compression garment again, but who wants to wear that all day everyday again when you really don’t have to. So, I started buying waist trainers off line stores like Amazon & etc… but nothing was fitting me nothing was comfortable. So, I started to do more searching and buying different trainers than I realized everyone is not shaped the same so why would I think everyone can wear the same waist trainer. This research was something I really enjoyed doing and than developed a passion about talking about waist training. It’s not just for women who have had body enhancements it’s for everyone. So, I started selling them out of my car, going to people homes, pulling up in parking lots just anywhere to push this great product I wanted to share with my city, but now I want to share it with the world. I went from my car to a small suite on the outskirts of the city and now I have two assistants, an online store and have moved to a bigger suite with a better Downtown central location in the city of Rochester, NY. I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Yes and no, it was really hard finding good vendors. Lots of products was cheaply made, so I had to return back money to customers who complained or if it broke. So, quality is everything to me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Outside of Bee Snatched, I work a full-time job for one of our local Hospitals. I am a Finical Case Manager, I help our patients get health insurance coverage. I have been doing this job for about 20 years. I love working with people and helping our community to have the proper insurance for their families. I’m proud of my family they are so supportive of anything I do. My patience, work ethic and effort separate me from the rest.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Even though I love to work with the public with both my full-time job and my business. I really have no issues being alone.
