Daily Inspiration: Meet Charlie Marshall

Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlie Marshall.

Hi Charlie, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Charlie Marshall. I am an actor, fitness model, fitness trainer and pro bodybuilder who is originally from New Orleans but moved here to California years ago while serving in the US Navy for six years. While being in the military, I knew I wanted to pursue acting and modeling, so I started to take steps towards it and making connections to help me practice my craft to put myself out there. As I continued putting myself out there, I found the courage back in 2018 to finally submit myself to what is now my fitness modeling agency I’m represented by called Movement Talent Agency. Then a few years later in 2021, I submitted myself to be represented by my now-acting agency called Starburst Talent Agency.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Although I was signed with my fitness modeling agency since 2018 and my acting agency since 2021, since I was still in the US Navy, I had a lot of opportunities I had to turn down or not even audition for due to conflicts in schedules with the military. So had to do what I can when I can which wasn’t much, but I didn’t let it stop me from pursuing this career as an artist.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As I mentioned before, I am an actor, fitness model, fitness trainer and pro bodybuilder. I also create content on my social media platforms that blends everything I do to show my passion in a creative way. One of the things I am most proud of is getting my natural Professional Card as a bodybuilder and then booking my first speaking role in a romantic comedy feature film called The Wedding Hustler. I think what sets me apart from others is how creative I get with mixing the different industries I am in into the same creative content. I believe doing that helps me get to showcase multiple skills I have while being creative and doing what I love.

How do you define success?
Success to me isn’t about the money or all the superficial stuff. Success to me is being able to reach your achievements and being proud of the outcome with the things you do and love. Getting to see the reward of accomplishment is a success. Being happy at the end of the day because you enjoy what you do is a success. Becoming someone’s inspiration just by doing what you love is a success.
