Today we’d like to introduce you to Camille Leon.
Hi Camille, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Back when I was working a corporate gig in downtown LA, I asked my co-workers for referrals to an acupuncturist. Not only did they not have any recommendations, I got questions like “Is acupuncture covered by insurance?” and “They use needles, don’t they?”
That was the first seed for the Holistic Chamber of Commerce, where I now provide referrals to holistic health and wellness providers of all types and provide education on holistic therapies.
I was stressed beyond belief and had absolutely no balance in my life. I was ‘nose to the grindstone, all day every day including weekends.
The second seed was when I realized that many holistic health providers are exceptional at what they do, but unfamiliar with business practices and unsupported in running their businesses.
These two seeds started the organic garden that is the Holistic Chamber of Commerce.
Once the website was launched, we started receiving requests for help starting local groups from people in other cities and states. So we figured out how to support groups in other places and now we have a network that is both online and in-person.
Fifteen years later, the Holistic Chamber of Commerce is still going and growing!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

Everything was going smoothly until March of 2020. You might remember what happened then…
So we revamped to strengthen our website and online offerings creating a both/and strategy to providing a bridge for people curious about holistic therapies for health, wellness, and personal development.
Realistically, I wasn’t used to running my own business and there were more lessons to learn than I expected.
Fortunately, because of the HCC, I was able to find holistically-aligned business support to help figure out the details.

In running the Holistic Chamber of Commerce, I specialize in making referrals to holistic health and wellness professionals and providing education articles that are available to the public.
Given my work with the HCC, I’m known for making presentations on the topic of holistic health and aligned business-building strategies.
The HCC goes beyond what others are doing in the holistic marketplace by providing an online resource center and meetings, along with in-person opportunities.
We are an expansive organization in a growing niche and I’m glad we are still here to help the public discover what is possible!
