Daily Inspiration: Meet Cameron Cohen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cameron Cohen

Hi Cameron, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My creative journey began at the tender age of three when my mom handed me my first box of crayons. Being an artist herself, she nurtured my budding imagination and encouraged me to explore every creative outlet.

I pursued my passion for art at UC Santa Barbara, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Art Studio with an emphasis in painting. My creativity flourished in various career paths, from jewelry design to makeup artistry and lash extensions. However, it wasn’t until the Covid pandemic forced me to pause and reflect that I truly reconnected with my passion for painting. With five months of downtime, I transformed my garage into an art studio and immersed myself in my work once again.

This period of introspection and creativity led me to discover my true mission: to facilitate the journey of self-acceptance and self-love, and to help others manifest their desires through my art. Today, I am proud to call myself an intuitive artist, using my work to inspire and empower others on their own paths to self-discovery.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Navigating the art world was a whole new adventure for me, and I initially felt like I was diving into the unknown. Fortunately, I met my life partner just as I was beginning this journey. As an experienced art dealer, he became an invaluable mentor, guiding me through the intricacies of the industry and making the path a bit smoother.

However, the road hasn’t been entirely without bumps. The biggest struggle I’ve faced is maintaining confidence and combating imposter syndrome, which can sneak up on me from time to time. There’s always that nagging doubt about whether people will appreciate my work and be willing to pay my asking price. To overcome this, I constantly remind myself of my skills and trust that the right audience will be drawn to what I have to offer.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am not just a fine artist; I am also an intuitive, master manifester, and healer. My specialization lies in commissioned artwork where each piece is infused with purpose and intention. My mission is to empower individuals to embrace their innate talents and true selves with radical love and acceptance. By blending my healing abilities with my creative skills, I create captivating, one-of-a-kind paintings.

I am passionate about guiding others on their transformative journeys. I offer both in-person and Zoom sessions to facilitate profound experiences of self-discovery and inner connection. Through guided visualizations, participants uncover their unique gifts and pathways to genuine happiness and love.

Each session culminates in the creation of a personalized painting, capturing the essence of the individual’s experience and commemorating their extraordinary journey of self-discovery. Recently, my Secret Hidden Message paintings have been garnering a lot of attention. In collaboration with my clients, we construct a phrase that aligns with their intentions. During our session, I gain a deeper understanding of their vision, which informs the creation of the artwork. The background pattern of the painting holds deeper meanings that I share with the client, while the custom phrase is painted with a special medium that reveals itself only when the light hits it just right, hence the “secret hidden message.”

What sets me apart from other artists is the therapeutic aspect of my work and the collaborative interaction with my clients. It is a co-creation—our painting, not just mine. The artwork serves as a talisman for the transformative experience, allowing clients to reconnect with their intentions whenever they engage with the piece.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
As an adrenaline junkie, I’ve always embraced risk-taking. I’m the kind of person who operates with only a Plan A. If Plan A doesn’t work, I simply devise a new Plan A on the spot. My positivity fuels this approach, as I rarely anticipate negative outcomes, which diminishes the fear associated with risk.

Venturing into the art world was one of my major risks. I had no idea how my work would be received or how potential setbacks might affect my mindset. Fortunately, I was met with a warm reception and began receiving commission projects almost immediately. This positive outcome reinforced my belief in taking risks and trusting in the journey.
