Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Carson.
Hi Andrew, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Andrew C. Carson also known as The Poet Andrew and I am the founder of Blue Chip Entertainment and I am a writer, producer, actor, and musician based in Los Angeles, CA. I was originally born in Bryan, Texas and that’s where my love for the arts started. I’ve always been the type of person who loved creative expression, and that passion has led me to where I am today.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been an easy road to get to where I am. I was raised the youngest of seven children by a single parent so to be where I am today is nothing short of a miracle. I believe that every life is filled with challenges and if you want to follow a dream, you must be willing to put in a lot of work to achieve it. Luckily, my life has been filled with incredibly strong individuals to look up to who taught me the value of pain and how to grow and learn from it. I learned at a very young age if you want to follow a dream, you must be prepared to put in hard work. I believe that a good work ethic will help you to overcome any obstacle put in your way, and that constant ability to grow and learn has allowed me to knock down any wall that has tried to deter me from my path in life.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a multi-hyphenate artist and one of the things I am most proud of is the founding of my own entertainment production company Blue Chip. I felt as though no one was giving me the chance to make the films and music that I wanted to create, so I decided to do it myself. Now as the CEO of my own production company I have had the opportunity to collaborate with so many individuals who otherwise would not have a voice and give them a chance to make the things they wish to see in film, television and music. My team and I have been able to create the change we want to see in the entertainment industry and build something that is uniquely ours, and I couldn’t be more excited about the work ahead as we continue to grow and expand.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe that a good understanding of who you are is needed to achieve success in any area of your life. I now know exactly who I am and my value and worth as a person and this piece of information has been so instrumental in me achieving my goals and working with some of the biggest names in entertainment, fashion, and music such as The Weeknd, Adidas, and Amazon Prime Video & Studios.
