Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Riccardi
Hi Andrea, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
For everyone now I am Andrew, Italian of origin but citizen of the world, I love traveling and discovering what our beautiful planet has to offer us. I come from a creative family and I have shown creative tendencies since childhood also thanks to my dad who taught me the art of photography.
I have a degree in electronic engineering, I play the electric guitar but my profession is EHS Manager for an important American multinational that produces agrochemicals.
I’m really organized and a constant planner. I like to define my trips in great detail, which I tend to do alone, trying to discover the most secret and least traveled places. I have an Instagram account that I have been managing for a few months in which I share my travel experiences, my photographs, in short I try to inspire others to travel thanks to my content.
Up to now I have visited 43 countries but the list will continue to grow. I want to see and explore more and more, among my next travel goals: Japan, Uzbekistan, Madagascar.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In life obstacles become opportunities, I am a very determined person and I manage to get what I want with reasonable success. I like to define myself as an optimist, I always look at life with positivity and I try to convey my optimistic side to the people around me.
A few years ago I lost a dear friend of mine, a companion on a thousand adventures, who died of a terrible illness that took him away in a few months. This made me reflect, it made me understand that the time is now, we must live our time to the full and not live with regrets. And this is why I decided to dedicate my free time to traveling and discovering the world: traveling enriches you, you retain pleasant memories and life experience that otherwise would not belong to you. Additionally, by traveling, I had the opportunity to learn about different cultures, try native foods, and increase my number of friends. Traveling has changed my life in a positive way.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Taking care of my Instagram account has become a very fun hobby. Sharing my experiences and interacting with others has further increased my desire to explore.
My travels are accessible to everyone, you don’t have to be rich or have significant economic resources, you just need to search carefully and with a limited budget you can explore the world like me. I plan my trips well in advance, this allows you to save on the cost of plane tickets. I also try to settle in strategic positions that allow me to visit places on foot. Follow me on Instagram for more useful tips for traveling smart.
What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is to have no regrets, to be sincere and unique. I would like to leave a trace and a memory of my passage through this world in an indiscreet way, with my point of view and my photographs.
