Daily Inspiration: Meet Alex Walsh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Walsh.

Hi Alex, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Hawaii, loving nature, art, and making people happy. I didn’t really have a plan for my life- but I just picked the next step that seemed fun and interesting and went with it. I left when I was 18, I moved to Canada in hopes of narrowing down my life plan. Eventually, I decided to fully pursue art and moved to LA the next year to get my BFA in music theatre. I graduated in 2020, distraught that I seemed to finally find a passion in live performance only to have it taken away just as I was entering the world with it. During the next few years, I was able to indulge in creating art on my own terms and explore more of my passions- plants, photography, and esthetics. I now work as a full-time esthetician and am parenting a cat, two Guinea pigs, and plenty of finished and unfinished art projects 🙂 I’m focused on becoming the best version of myself and understanding that a person can contain multitudes! I currently offer sugaring, photography, and music services!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Looking back I see a cohesive, beautiful story- I see how everything was meant to be. I think at the time though, not knowing the future was the hardest for me. I’ve been trying to be excited about the mystery 🙂

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I love being an esthetician! I love writing music, photography, making people laugh, and learning something new every day. I want to continue sharing skin care with people, collaborating with artists and friends of all kinds 🙂

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
All I hope for is more education around skincare and more art to be created 🙂
