Today we’d like to introduce you to Abbie Dempsey.
Hi Abbie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story began as a nine-year-old girl in Dublin, Ireland who fell in love with makeup. Nine years later, I graduated High School, enrolled in makeup school and my professional journey began there.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t always been smooth, the biggest struggle being the shutdown of the pandemic and navigating the industry during and after that but ultimately the highs of this career are so rewarding.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in beauty, and media makeup, anyone who has ever worked with me knows I am known for loving the glowy, dewy, look. At this point in my career, I am most proud of the fact that I am always trying to improve my skills and have never given up on my dream.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
This career, working in the beauty industry, is all about risk taking. It’s about making your mark and having your own signature that makes you different. I definitely consider myself a risk taker, in my work and personal life!
