Conversations with Taylor Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Moore.

Hi Taylor, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
At an early age, I learned to bake by assisting my mother and sisters in the kitchen. I then began to surprise my family with my own twist of what I learned and found baking is a hobby I truly enjoyed. Seeing the reaction of enjoyment after indulging in my treats meant everything to me. When the demand of my baking grew from family and friends, I knew I was doing something right. Baking brings me joy and it feels therapeutic. My Hobby became my passion and my first business, “TaystyTreats” launched.

In the midst of building my brand, I began experiencing excruciating pain with fatigue, I wasn’t able to stand and dreaded getting out of bed. My Dr scheduled me for a laparoscopic surgery where results came back that I was diagnosed with stage 4 Endometriosis. (a chronic incurable inflammatory disease where abnormal lesions and tissues grow on, out and through your uterus and can also affect your organs and cause infertility)

I was prescribed medication that made me feel drowsy, groggy, and have anxiety attacks. My current state affected my ability to meet the increase of my baking business. I became confused as to how my ambition to make my clients smile turned into depression due to my physical limitations.

I’ve always been a person that wears many hats and loves tapping into my creativity. I got tired of existing and not living so this sparked my research for balance between my physical health, mental state, and capability to meet my business demands in a natural way.

While researching, I discovered hemp and cbd. I was intrigued from my findings of the benefits of both cbd and hemp, so I decided to give them a try. Once I started to feel like myself again, I started to dabbling with different recipes and began to make my own creation of cbd and hemp products thus the birth of my first e-commerce business,“ The hemp therapist” began.

Cbd is a cannabinoids that has over 80 active compounds that are found naturally in a satins plant. Cbd does not have THC in it and it does not cause you to be impaired.

I formulated Herbal Hemp Hair oils and CBD bath salts because the medicines the doctor put me on and the anesthesia from surgery made me experience hair loss. By using the hemp oil as a main ingredient along with other natural herbs, it’s promoted fuller hair growth from the fatty acids like Omega 3 which increases blood circulation to the scalp.

The Cbd bath salts main ingredients are CBD, Magnesium, Collodial Oatmeal and essential oils. The bath salts can be easily used simply by pouring them into the bathtub.

The Cbd acts as a medicine that also is an anti-inflammatory that helps alleviate inflammation and causes your body to calm down and assist in body relaxation.

The magnesium in the bath salts is also absorbed through the skin and causes you to have longer-lasting relief.

The colloidal oatmeal aids in skin recovery and acts as a moisturizer that soothes your skin and it is also an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory for your skin.

The essential oils has an essence that causes a mood boost and help reduce stress and can ease pains.

In conclusion, the two of my business have helped me adapt to new challenges I’ve faced on my journey.

I believe with my determination and courage to continue to push forward and my willingness to learn that I can make an impact on people’s lives as I grow through my experiences.

My ultimate purpose with Taysty Treats is to provide customer satisfaction and quality to families. It brings me joy knowing I am able to be a part of their memories with the treats I provide to enhance their special occasions.

My goal with The Hemp therapist is to not only bring value into people’s lives but also positively pour into them and help them believe that through it all they have a purpose. My mission is to support the health and well-being of those all across the globe.

I know that this is just the beginning for me. I am thankful for the work I have put in and how far I have come on my journey. I’m excited for what the future will bring. I look at each new day as an opportunity to not only grow but to be grateful.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Some Challenges I have faced are as I’m pursuing my passion and doing what I love but on the days I have spasms and episodes it can be exhausting to be present to save face and show up for my supporters who need me yet I still find the strength to push through even though I’m only one person it just isn’t always easy. It’s also has been challenging finding new customers, marketing correctly and educating my target audience. Since CBD is a high-risk industry, I have made sure to get all my products Lab tested for quality, accuracy and potency. However, some people overlook CBD because they think it is THC so they steer away from trying it because they aren’t properly educated on it. Other challenges I have faced with entrepreneurship for both businesses are some weeks I have orders pouring in daily and others none at all. However I’ve learned that during my slower days I can use that time to do more research, restock and organize and find different strategies that are necessary for the growth of my business. Life has a way of throwing unforeseen challenges our way and as we are going through them it can be hard to see the bigger picture but I always pray and keep faith because I know deep down all this is for reason and God won’t steer me the wrong way.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What sets me apart is I incorporate my own personal vulnerable experiences and knowledge into my work. My love for everything I do allows me to connect with my peers on a much deeper level as I am passionate with advocating for healing and health and I know that I can positively make a difference in people’s lives.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is actively pursuing long lasting healing. Healing to me looks relaxing, like pouring more into myself, having self compassion and holding myself accountable, giving myself grace, my willingness to learn, changing my mindset to think positively, looking at my vulnerability as a strength, and spending time with those who have created a safe space for me. Happiness to me looks like moving with love and practicing life long habits that are fulfilling to me. Living in and thriving in my integrity, standing in my truth which is just being authentically genuinely me. Happiness to me looks like experiencing life, amplifying others lives, showing gratitude, giving back to my community, tapping into my creativity, praying and putting in the work to see all my manifestations turn into fruition, playing with my dogs and strangers dogs, dancing, seeing butterflies, watching my mom planting in the garden, I enjoy cooking and baking, decorating, singing along to my favorite songs, watching the sunset near any beds of water while listening to the sounds from the atmosphere which calms me.
