Hi Tana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey in music began with a deep passion for both performance and composition. I was fortunate to be classically trained as a pianist and vocalist, studying under notable figures like Mary Drummond of Ambrosia, celebrity vocal coach James Lugo, and pianist Jetha Hoffman from the Symphony Orchestra. These experiences laid a solid foundation for my craft.
As I honed my skills, I started writing and composing my own music, eventually crafting over 150 compositions. My dedication to music led me to collaborate with a variety of artists from around the world through my Production & Management Company and Music Publisher, KB Recording Group.
In 2019, I released my debut album, Petals & Thorns, through KB Recording Group in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment. The album’s release marked a significant milestone in my career, allowing me to showcase my work on a global scale.
Today, I continue to write, compose, and produce music, not only for myself but for a diverse range of artists. I also focus on sync licensing, with my compositions being pitched for major TV shows, films, and advertisements. My work has been featured with companies and shows like Netflix, CBS, and Ralph Lauren, which has been incredibly fulfilling.
My journey has been a blend of passion, dedication, and collaboration, and I’m excited to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the music industry.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Of course, the road hasn’t always been smooth. Success means facing countless ‘what if’ scenarios because challenges are part of the journey. I’ve dealt with equipment failures at the worst possible times, challenging clients, and moments where I had to quickly learn new skills just to fix seemingly minor problems. But through it all, I’ve never given up. My commitment to my goals keeps me pushing forward, and each obstacle only strengthens my determination to overcome whatever comes my way.

Of course! Not only do I co-own a record label, production studio, and publishing company, but I am also a recording artist, singer, songwriter, and music producer. My journey in the music industry has been multifaceted, allowing me to wear many hats and gain a comprehensive understanding of the creative and business sides of music.
As a recording artist, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to create and release my own music, sharing my voice and stories with the world. My debut album, Petals & Thorns, was a major milestone, and partnering with Sony Music Entertainment for its distribution was a dream come true.
Beyond my personal projects, I’ve had the privilege of working with numerous aspiring artists, helping them bring their musical visions to life. Whether through writing, composing, or producing, I’ve dedicated myself to nurturing their talents and guiding them through the intricacies of the music industry.
What I most proud of is how I’ve learned the importance of perseverance and adaptability. My passion for music keeps me motivated, and my dedication to my goals drives me to overcome any obstacle. Each challenge is an opportunity for growth, and I’m excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the music industry.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I believe the most important quality to my success is resilience. The music industry is full of challenges and uncertainties, from equipment failures and difficult clients to unexpected obstacles that require quick problem-solving. My ability to stay determined and persevere through these difficulties has been crucial. Resilience allows me to learn from every setback, adapt to changing circumstances, and keep pushing forward toward my goals. It’s this unwavering commitment and adaptability that fuels my ambition and drives my continued growth and success.
