Today we’d like to introduce you to Suzie Taylor.
Hi Suzie, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Suzie Taylor and I know that my mission on Earth is to help people in need, as well as inspire other people to live their dream and be a light, even in a world that can be so dark. I got my start in YouTube when I was 10 years old, documenting my travels with my family with our family iPad. During college, I juggled a full time job as a server as well as full time school and being a college athlete, all while having creative pursuits on the side just to be able to have a creative outlet. In college, I knew I had to be there to get a degree to “fall back on” but I knew deep down I was going to be doing something much bigger than sitting behind a desk 40 hours a week, but I continued on anyways in pursuit of a Bachelors of Science in Sociology.
One of the creative pursuits I had throughout college was being featured in YouTube videos just to be able to get my face out there, along with some modeling and acting jobs. I told myself one week after graduating college I would quit my job and finally pursue YouTube full time since that was my biggest dream since I was 10 years old! I believe that in order to pursue a dream, you cannot have a plan B. When you have a plan B, you are telling yourself before you even begin that you are going to fail plan A. So, I knew what I had to do.
After I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University, I packed my bags and moved to Europe to document my travels there. It was in Paris that I received a call asking if I wanted to participate in a MrBeast video. With just three days notice and no more information, I flew to Greenville, North Carolina to participate in a MrBeast challenge where I was locked in a box for 100 days with a stranger. I knew that if I won this 100 day challenge, nothing could stop me from getting my dream life now. In the box, I crafted the exact viral video I could make once it was day 100, and the success of that video launched my YouTube channel.
I truly believe it was my unwavering faith in myself, and my willingness to risk everything when it counted, that allowed God to bring the opportunity at the exact moment I was finally ready to step into everything He had been preparing me for. I have poured the winnings of my $185,000 from the MrBeast challenge into my YouTube channel ever since, simply because I know that the investment in myself will pay off. After one year of experimenting on my YouTube channel with different niches, I know what I am meant to be doing on this Earth and that is creating content and inspiring the world, which I now do full time! People often say it was all luck, and if that is true, then my “luck” took about 5 years of hard work and determination for my dream to finally come true.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been all smooth sailing, but the struggle is what helped me grow. In college, the hardest part was trying to juggle everything at once. I was a full-time student, a college golfer, working as a server, and still squeezing in creative projects just to stay connected to what I loved. I sacrificed a lot of sleep, and there were days I felt completely drained—but creating content was my joy, the one thing that kept me going when everything else felt like pure survival mode.
Quitting my job after graduation was another turning point. It sounded brave on the outside, but internally it was terrifying. I moved to Europe with no income to start making long form YouTube travel vlogs, and just watched my savings account shrink while trying to figure out how to make it all work. That uncertainty- when there’s no paycheck, no roadmap, just faith—was one of the hardest seasons I’ve been through.
And even now, the challenges haven’t disappeared. This past year as a full-time creator has been incredibly fulfilling, but also overwhelming in new ways. It’s hard to know what your audience wants when all eyes are already on you. I put a lot of pressure on myself to deliver content that inspires and connects, but figuring out what that looks like, especially in a constantly changing digital space, hasn’t always been easy. I’m still learning how to navigate that while staying true to myself.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a full-time content creator, and at the core of my work is just me being fully myself. I make videos that are fun, real, and rooted in my own life experiences, with the hope that someone watching feels inspired to go after their own dream. I share moments of personal growth, travel, challenges, and joy, all while weaving in motivation and meaning in a way that feels natural and true to me. I don’t shy away from the uncomfortable parts of chasing a dream. I talk about fear, failure, faith, and all the messy in-betweens.
My brand is centered around the feeling of joy, and the color yellow captures that perfectly. People often know me as the girl who brings that feeling of yellow into their lives. I recently started a series called Sunflower Seeds, which is all about planting one small habit or positive action each day. The idea is that these little choices, over time, can grow into something beautiful. It’s been a way for me to reconnect with joy in my own life and help others do the same.
What I’m most proud of is building a platform where people feel seen and encouraged, and what sets me apart is that I’m not trying to fit into any mold. I’m just Suzie, showing up as I am, and in a world that often feels curated and polished, I think there’s power in choosing to be real.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
The best way to support me is by simply showing up. Watching, sharing, or engaging with my content genuinely makes a difference. I am always open to working with brands, creators, and companies that align with my values, especially when the goal is to inspire others, spread positivity, or create something meaningful together.
If you are looking for a way to support both my journey and yourself, I also created Suzie’s Notebook. It is an affordable daily planner with a Bible verse on every page, made to help you stay organized, grounded, and encouraged. It is a small product with a big purpose, and every purchase helps support the heart behind what I do.
