Today we’d like to introduce you to Shayanne Andujar.
Hi Shayanne, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My parents were both born in The Dominican Republic, I was born in the Bronx N.Y. My sales career started in Tampa FL working in telemarketing call centers selling cell phone services, magazine subscriptions, debt consolidation, and college admissions. I always had a passion for music and acting so after I was laid off from my last position my girlfriend and I decided to move to California so I can pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Under the stage name “Jonni Vegaz”, I managed to participate in over 100+ films, I joined the screen actors guild union, I’ve had my music played on the radio, and I’ve also started the popular podcast titled “Sleep Is For Billionaires”. Once Covid-19 happened production came to a halt and I was out of work again. I then decided to start my own brokerage firm to generate income. I would consult government agencies and hospitals on where to buy medical supplies to help with the fight against Covid-19. When the global supply chain issue occurred, there was less inventory available and sales slowed down dramatically. I then decided to obtain my real estate license for a more sustainable and profitable situation. Currently, I am operating as a realtor and solar energy consultant, I am on the 12th season of my podcast, I just released my 4th studio album “Sleep Is For Billionaires 2.0”, and I plan to get back into acting in the near future.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The biggest obstacle is not getting discouraged or distracted. Bookings aren’t always as consistent as I want them to be so the time in between transactions could mean months without a paycheck. Thankfully, having a savings account and emergency fund helps keep me above water during those dry months.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
I don’t think luck had anything to do with the successes I’ve had. I believe proper planning prevents poor performance. I believe everything happens on God’s time and you must work hard for the things you want. When I arrived to LA, I knew I had to build a network so I decided to start a podcast and bring the people I wanted to potentially turn into friends/clients on as guests. Over time those relationships have became stronger and lead to collaboration and opportunities I would have never gotten without knowing them. Also, my sales experience lead me to real estate. Real estate provides me the opportunity to earn a lot of money, work my own hours, and have availability work on my passion projects.
