Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaneli Jain
Hi Shaneli, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started in the complete corporate world. In fact, prior to working in the professional corporate world, I studied and major in science. From corporate, I pivoted to CREATIVE and it was the best decision. Now, I am a celebrity jeweler in Los Angeles and it has been incredible.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I would not call any road smooth because without some bumps, it is boring. If everything was easy what would be the fun? In fact, when there are challenges that are overcome with hard work, the reward is even sweeter.
Fortunately, I have a great foundation of my parents being in the jewelry space for 40+ years. I am extremely grateful for this. I would say the bumps in my road were actually prior to deciding and committing to the jewelry industry. The uncertainty of what I wanted to do and be is where a lot of my challenges were. Should I do science? Consulting? What am I meant to do and be? These were the questions that I struggled with.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Shaneli is a celebrity jeweler based in Los Angeles. Her work has been featured in the Golden Globes, Oscars, and other red carpet events. She specializes in statement and everyday pieces, and has her own bridal line. All pieces use natural diamonds and 18K Gold. Her jewelry is different given the asymmetric shapes and bold trendy styles.
We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
Visiting India every summer with my mother, brother, and father… and getting to skip weeks of school for this!
