Conversations with Mirlette Palacio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mirlette Palacio.

Hi Mirlette, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m a proud Latina content creator, and honestly, creating content has always been something I’ve loved. Even before I knew it could be a career, I was constantly playing around with ideas, filming little videos, and DIY-ing just about everything I could get my hands on. Fashion, beauty, and makeup have always been big passions of mine—it’s how I express myself and connect with others.

It wasn’t until the pandemic hit that I really started taking content creation more seriously. Like a lot of people, I found myself with extra time and a new perspective, and I decided to pour more energy into doing what I love. Since then, I’ve been building my brand, sharing what I create, and connecting with a community that inspires me every day.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not a smooth road. From 2018 to 2022, I was in college, and balancing school with content creation was tough—there just wasn’t enough time in the day. On top of that, I went through some really heavy moments, including depression and heartbreak, which made it hard to stay motivated or inspired.

There was even a period where I genuinely hated creating. I got so caught up in the numbers—likes, views, engagement—that I lost the joy in it. It stopped being something I loved and started feeling more like a chore or competition. That mindset took a toll on me, but stepping back and reconnecting with why I started helped me fall in love with it again.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a content creator who focuses on beauty, fashion, and lifestyle—with the occasional unfiltered rant mixed in! My content is all about being real and showing up as my true self. I love sharing everything from outfit inspo and makeup looks to random everyday moments, because I think there’s beauty in both the polished and the imperfect.

What I’m most proud of is how I express myself through my style—whether that’s through an outfit, a bold hairstyle, or a creative makeup look. It’s all a form of self-expression for me. I think what sets me apart is that I don’t try to fit into a mold—I stay true to who I am, and I think people connect with that authenticity.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned is to genuinely enjoy the ride and fall in love with the process, not just the results. It’s easy to get caught up in numbers or constantly comparing yourself, but at the end of the day, what really matters is that you’re doing something that feels true to you.

I’ve also learned the importance of taking breaks when you need them. Creativity doesn’t always flow nonstop, and that’s okay. Sometimes stepping back is exactly what you need to recharge and find inspiration again. Giving myself that grace has helped me stay passionate and connected to why I started in the first place.
